This book should be a must read for any professional involved in any aspect of supply chain operations. The tie in with sports, makes the subject matter interesting and at the same time, direct and to the point. I find that the material can be used universally inside of many disciplines outside of the procurement arena.Having formally worked directly with Dr. Lunney, I can attest to the fact that the techniques presented inside of this book can be be put to use in real life applications and if followed through properly, produce outstanding results!

Well written, covered procurement managment expectations from a stockholder perspective. Some very good tips and strategies to get ahead in the constantly changing world of procurement.

Great book. Very clear and easy to follow. I find it much better than the 500 + page text books, that go into so many details that you forget what you're reading about, and totally miss the point. This book goes straight to the point, with just enough examples to illustrate the main points. Highly recommended for professionals new to Procurement, or for experienced purchasers who just want to review the main points of Procurement.
