Griffin GC23139 PowerJolt Dual for iPad, iPhone, iPod

having just purchased a new ipad 4 & iphone 5, i wanted to be able to charge them both at the same time if need be in the car. i am keenly aware of the high power requirements of the ipad 4 and i know that not just any old charger will be compatable and work.this adapter stated that it had a high dual power rating and each usb port had it's own high rating even when both were in use. all of the other dual usb chargers had one high rating but it was shared between the two ports. i didn't want to not be able to charge both my ipad & iphone at the same time which is what would have ended up happening with the other dual chargers.not this one. i am happy to say, i can charge both ipad 4 & iphone 5 at the same time with no issues, drop-outs or anything! for people who are needing to charge two usb devices no matter what, you need to buy this charger! Griffin has put out a very nice product that absolutely does what it says it can do and makes no excuses about it!i have no problem endorsing this product for people who need this type of support. It Just Works! yes, i would easily buy this again if i ever needed to!

Yes. This is the one. I had become very frustrated with the car chargers I had tried due to their weak power. So I did some research and found that for the price, this Griffin is the best car charger available. And boy does it work well. It's bulky, has slots to dissipate heat and the indicator light on the front is very bright. But it charges very fast. And when plugging a cord into it, it locks in very securely. The build quality appears solid and strong. This is a quality item.The only downside is the name. Griffin makes several PowerJolt models and at least one other looks almost exactly like this one but is not as strong. To get this one, you have to assure the full name is "Griffin GC23139 PowerJolt Dual for iPad, iPhone, iPod". Don't depend on name Powerjolt or the appearance. Look for the this whole long name.As as far as this being the best charger on the market, you don't have to take my word for it. Read this:[...]

I'm not sure why their product descriptions here and on their web site are such a huge miss, as they executed so well on the product packaging. Right on the outside of the box it has a stylized logo graphic of 10 watt power x 2, and then down in the feature list it has in bold "2 USB ports, each delivers 10 watts". So it can charge two iPads simultaneously at the high charge rate, or newer iPhones at a higher rate. Many other offerings out there may offer two USB ports, but they split 10 watts between the two ports, so be sure to vet the 10 watt claim.

This product performs as advertised and delivers the perfect amount of power to allow you to constantly use AND fully charge today's power hungry smartphones, tablets, and anything else that can charge from a USB port. Basically, you can start a road trip with dead batteries in your smartphone AND a tablet, connect BOTH and use them continuously for navigation, movies, web browsing, games, etc and it will ALSO charge your battery quickly so you should have a full battery in a very short, reasonable amount of time DESPITE using BOTH devices the entire time! I have not found another car charging option that offers this power output.I have bought several for family and friends and have bought the necessary USB-micro USB cords on Amazon to complete the package for essentially universal charging capabilities. Next I will likely purchase USB-Lightning cables when they are reasonably priced to add to the charging options. You will enjoy this purchase!

Purchase this specific model because of its unique ability to charge multiple iPads. There are several dual chargers out there, but it is hard to find one that charges 2 iPads at once. Search no more - this Griffin charger can do that. USB plugs give you flexibility to charge older 30-pin connector devices, as well as newer lightning connector devices. Added bonus - the charger comes with a single 30-pin connector cable - always nice to have a spare.

Got another one of these for our other car so we don't have to swap them around. As I recall, it has the extra power to handle all the charging power requirements and it has the twin usb ports so you can use the included charge cable and another cable at the same time. It has a thin white circle that lights up when it's powered up. You can also use the cable to plug into other usb equipment.

Almost better than advertised :) Meaning: for once, this product does what it states, as opposed to many others that mislead buyers in terms or actual power output, charge they support, etc.It has indeed two ports to charge - at the same time and without any issue - both an iPhone and an iPad or Kindle, or any other portable device taking power out of USB.Used it for a bit less than a year now. Still great. No high heat generated. And supports well staying in the car parked in the Texas summer for extended period of times.

This dual 2.1 amp USB charger is the best charger ever! It works and charges everything you plug into it simply put, faster than the others out there. Only one I could find that has two 2.1 amp chargers on it. Most have only one and the other is a wimpy 1.0 amp which is what everyone is used to. There are no worries about using 2.1 amp chargers for your phone or any other USB device. If you do the research as I did, you will find that having more amps for charging a USB device just means you will charge tha device faster. I was concerned before I bought it because I did not know what the difference was and whether or not it would hurt my phone but as I mentioned before it's completely safe and you will be very impressed at how fast it charges. Only CON I have was the price but it does come with an iPad/iPhone/iPod USB charging cord so that is a plus. You get what you pay for and you can rest assured that if you are like me and spend your money wisely on products that you want to work as described and last then this is the charger for you and you will see that it is worth every penny!
