Unfortunate Cycle of Life
They never germinated nor became a beautiful mimosa bonsai. My unfortunate thumb of blackness.

Healthy Seeds, 4 out of 5 Sprouted
I purchased 2 packets of these seeds about a month ago. I received one packet of seeds faster than expected and proceeded to plant 5 of the 10 seeds in a mini greenhouse according to the instructions included on the packet (which are included at the end of my review). 4 of the 5 seeds sprouted and are continuing to grow! I would like to mention that I only received one packet of seeds out of the 2 that I ordered. I contacted the seller at the time (Earthcare Seeds) through Amazon and pointed out the error. I received a reply from the seller that same day, apologizing and letting me know when the second packet would be mailed. I am very happy with my purchase: 1) I do not have a green thumb and have managed to grow 4 of the 5 seeds I planted and 2) The seller (Earthcare Seeds) was very prompt in their reply to me, which was polite and apologetic, and in correcting their mistake. I will definitely order from them again!ALBIZIA JULIBRISSIN MIMOSA. Pour boiling water over the seed(s). Let the seed(s) stand in the water for 24 hours. Repeat for seed(s) that did not imbibe, OR file/sand through the outer seed coat and let stand on water for 24 hours. Sow seed 1/8" deep and keep the soil moist.

I'm experiencing a low germination rate.
Seeds arrived on time and I even received a free sample of Cordate Telosma seeds. However, so far the germination rate on the Albizia seeds is only 20% (I planted 10seeds). This is after 4 weeks so I'm beginning to think the other eight are dead. But since these are trees I really don't need 10 of them.

I'm lost on this!
I don't remember getting these. Certainly, didn't grow anything like this.

Great seeds, germinated quickly!
All of my seeds germinated, really quickly too! I googled how to germinate these seeds and these are the steps I took:1) Rub the root end (I assumed the smaller end, but did both just in case) with a nail file until the lighter inside layer is exposed2) Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours3) Plant slightly below surface, keep moist. The seeds were literally germinating before I even planted them. The roots started coming out while they were soaking in the warm water. It's so nice to buy bonsai seeds online that actually do well. My plants are currently about an inch and a half tall and doing really well. Yay!!Some more advice, according to the sites I looked into online these trees drown pretty easily so don't overwater, keep soil just moist.

Two out of 12 seeds sprouted.
I received 12 seeds with no instructions. The seeds look similar to brown watermelon seeds. I planted them all in dissolving seedling containers in special soil intended for root development of seedlings. (Full morning sun, partial afternoon sun at 80 deg F) Two of them came up. Germination time was 5 days. They look like the correct tree, with feathery leaves that fold at night. That was good enough for me, but I wish more would have made it. I hope to get a bonsai out of it, although I have read it takes 7 years to see the blooms. We will see. I have a green thumb that needs a good challenge. After 10 days I noticed another sprout, but I think it is another type of plant, maybe a weed?I re-potted the 2 sprouted Mimosa trees. In this picture, they are about 2 weeks old.

A waste of time and money
Not even one germinated. I followed all the instructions to a tee and double-checked on line, but got zilch. A waste of time and money. I love bonsai, but I will not make this mistake again.

So far I have gotten most of my seeds to ...
So far I have gotten most of my seeds to sprout. You do have to read up on how to germinate these seeds since they aren't as simple as putting them in soil and watering, but so far they are doing very well.
