Pro Pac Model XXL-F Tool Bag

Initially without ght there was no way I would ever spend that much on a tool bag. I am so glad I did. I have a large powered boat and therefore I have a ton of tools that air keep onboard. After all, it is a boat so there is always something that breaks, or something that has to be maintained. Things have a habit of breaking at the most inopportune times and locations so you have to have all the possible tools available. Furthermore, there is never enough room to store stuff. For years I have used a large, plastic, very sturdy tool box. It works well for storing the tools, keeping them confined, dry, and safe. Unfortunately, it is hard to locate the right tool when they are all piled into a deep dark cavern of a tool box. I would spend as much time trying to find the right tool as I spent using the tool. Hence this bag. The plastic bottom keeps the bad from getting wet when set down on a wet deck or in a wet bilge. The bag zips closed with very sturdy zippers so no chance of tools spilling out when moving the bag. The bag is big. I put all the tool from my box into the bag and still have room left over. It is much easier to pick up and move as well thanks to to the great shoulder strap. Most importantly, when the tools are thoughtfully placed in the bag, they are easily to find, access, and return to the bag when working on a project. After just a few jobs I realized I was saving an incredible amount of time just by having the right tool handy. The fabric is really tough and all the zippers, stitching, rivets and straps are high quality. This tough fabric does mean that it is also a bit stiff. This makes some of the pockets a little hard to slip something in and out of, but it appears that it becomes mor flexible with use. Yeah, it is a lot of money to spend. But for me, the featured will be worth it amortized out over the life if the bag. Likely the bag will outlast me and I can pass it on to my son.

I work in an industrial environment with dirt, dust and concrete crap everywhere. This bag has held up like a champ. In the back of my truck, back in my office. All over the place and nothing has broken. I barely see any wear on the bottom from setting it down. I have tried many other bags and this is by far the best thing I have seen. I have to admit that it is a rather big bag. The bigger they get, the more crap you tend to carry and it can get quite heavy. This size makes it a bit awkward getting through thin hallways and or doors, but you can get through by just turning the bag in the right angle. this is something you learn quick as the bag is quite long. Love the fold down sides that allows me to just snap over the side hatch and get to all my tools when i have a project going. To keep your tools, you need to be able to put them back easily when you are done using them and this makes that easier. Good bag. Edit 09/12/2019 : This bag is still rocking with a couple minor notes that i wouldn't even consider dinging the rating over. - A couple of years ago I caught the strap that holds my electrical tape on something and the fitting broke, the spring clamp end. Strap, no good. This is compressed on to a sewed in strap, no way to fix it. I called and told them what I did and they sent me a double fitting strap that clips on to the same ring and then strings through your tape, clips the small ring again and you get a functioning strap again. These dudes support their product and that means something when many others simply do not. - The one wear item I have seen is the shoulder strap. The insert nylon/ballistic material on the pad itself started cracking after years of use. I am involved in concrete materials; this does not shock me one bit as cement dust can dry out an ocean. Still the best bag out there. The only thing I would consider changing is the size. I find myself loading this thing up with the kitchen sink everything else which allows it to get way too heavy. I could always run a smaller bag with essentials and a secondary that stays in the truck if needed. Great bag, great service, all around awesome.

Great for everything you need. It is longer than it looks. Comfortable to carry. Has to be broken in to use all the pockets with ease which is understandable with quality materials. One thing that I would have really wanted is making it maybe an inch wider and 2inches taller for better depth and more space for bit cases and other such things in the tool compartment the bulk storage is spacious it can hold m12 impact and drill with shorty batteries and 2 m12 4.0 batteries dewalt 20v impact with shorty battery 3 or four bit cases depending on size and shape.

I just recieved this bag today, so my review is from my first impression. Perhaps I'll write an update after using it for a while It' certainly is sturdy and can hold a hundred pounds of tools. The shoulder strap is very sturdy and makes it easier to cary that much weight. I bought it to hold all of my frequently used tools, and I think it's going to work. I'm tired of not having them all in one place. I have always had tool boxes, as all of the bags that I've looked at appeared to be of poor design, and mediocre quality. I always liked the idea of a bag but never found one that I liked. I had seen the ads and read a few reviews for this brand, and been wanting to try one out. I bought the largest one, hoping to keep everything together, rather than in 2 tool boxes, and in a pile on my workbench. I, so far have put about a dozen different types of pliers in it, all of my 1/4 inch drive socket wrench stuff (30 sockets on a rack, and various drivers), a framing hammer, a regular hammer, several screw drivers, a framing square, 3 nail sets, a couple punches, a laser level, a regular level, chalkline, 2 tape measures, scissors, tin snips, large pry bar, small pry bar, ruler, pens, pencils, ear plugs, safety glasses, an angle guage, utility knife, a couple chisles, a crescent wrench, wire strippers, and my headlamp flashlight. There is still room for some more stuff. I think I'm going to keep my cordless drill and 2 open end wrench set rollups in it. That would fill it. I still have all of my 3/8 and 1/2 socket stuff in a separate tool box, 2 separate boxes for all of my electrical specific tools, and 2 separate plumbing specific boxes. I don't think this tool bag would work for all this type of stuff. The downside of the bag is that the side that doesn't have pockets seems like it should have some kind of system to put some holders in it. It does have a hard plastic backing on the lower half, and I think I'm going to install a some clips, straps etc. using screws with nuts through it. It should at least have a built in way to hold a hammer. This seems minor though. Another downside (in my opinion) is that it is made in China. I try pretty hard to buy top of the line tools made in the USA. For the most part this is still easy to do, but it's getting harder. The build quality is good though, and I'll be keeping this one. It definately will not outlast some of my Kennedy Kits tool boxes which are already old. I'm sure that the zippers will be the first to wear out. Right now the zippers are a little stiff and harder to use than a latch, but they should loosen up with time. The other thing is with fabric, a tool that is put away dirty/ greasy will likely make the bag nasty. While a box wipes clean without too much trouble. Another downside that I just thought of is that due to it's size it will be pretty visible in my car. My separate tool boxes were easier to hide.

Went back and forth on this bag for a long time. My job site tools are constantly growing and the amount I've accumulated was beginning to be so much, that the 5 gallon bucket organizer i was using was starting to become counterproductive because i was using up all the open slots and the rest would take up a lot of space in the bucket itself. I did not want to have to use another bucket and have two buckets to lug around when i want to bring all my hand tools with me. I just transferred all my hand tools to the veto pro and its awesome. This bag is a beast for those who need to have their hand tools organized and in a certain location ready to be grabbed. My OCD brain is at ease! Pockets for almost everything. Tools that are too large, i put in the backside (2' level, pry bar, 3lb hammer,etc). Zippers for gloves, earplugs, safety glasses pocket. Zippers for bits and blades. & the kicker: yes, the bag was heavy in my hand after it was full, (and i still had 10-15lbs of tools in my tool belt) as expected, but the shoulder strap is as comfortable and solid as advertised. felt very comfortable, and ergonomic on the shoulder. Stop debating. Get it!

Like almost everyone, I agree that this tool bag is worth the money. I had a large Husky tool bag that was pretty good, but I overloaded it and couldn't even close the centre/main pouch. I was highly doubtful that the XXL-F would fit all of my stuff but it did, and closing the zippers is never a problem. There is an abundance of room for tools, and I carry a lot. Very comfortable to carry, only it's longer than I'm used to and it bangs on doors as I walk through them. That's the only negative thing I have to say about it, which is not a big deal at all. There are numerous Youtube videos/reviews about this bag. I was hesitant for a long time because of cost, but definitely worth it. Thank you Veto Pro Pac. What I carry in it: all the typical tools of an industrial electrician and then some; cordless Dewalt drill and impact, two batteries and a charger; Snap-On cordless impact x 2, two batteries and charger; hacksaw, hammer, and multiple long tools; Klein parts bag loaded with crap; gloves, toque; 8"x4" plastic tool bit container; multi-meter; etc. The list goes on. I use the Veto MC as my go-to bag as well for most often-used tools. I think the XXL-F would be a great go-to bag for mobile mechanics, as a former mechanic myself. If you can afford this, you won't regret it.

I'm a medical x-ray field service engineer and this tool bag can carry most of the common tools I need in a organize and easy access way. The pockets are not tool specific which allows me to fit different types of handtools and I can customize easily what tools I want to carry. The other side without the pockets allows me to store my multimeter and other large and long tools that I need. If your looking for a field service bag that is flexible giving you options as to what tools you want to carry (pockets not tool specific) and that is rugged and durable, it's worth the price. It will last a long time and conveniently give you easy access to your tools. I highly recommended it for field service technician who needs to carry lots of different tools. It will be heavy once you fill it up with tools and probably too heavy to carry around more than 5 minutes using the shoulder strap. I use a service cart/dolly to get around hospital sites, which I recommend.

Amazing bag little pricey but should last

This bag is a beast, I won't even attempt to list all the tools I have in it, suffice to say when I take this on to a job I seldom have to trail back to the van for a forgotten tool. It weighs an absolute tonne but is actually quite comfortable to carry with the big padded shoulder strap. Takes plenty of punishment on sites & still looks like new. It's quite a lot to shell out for a tool bag, however I can't see me having to replace this (unless it gets stolen) in the next 5 years, and considering even the best of the previous toolbags I owned has barely seen out 12 months (including some DIY repair jobs to keep it together) it works out as pretty good value. I think this thing will still be going strong in 10 years. Not the easiest thing to carry up stairs or into loft hatches mind you but if you frequently park close to the work area then it's fine. I've had to lug this thing over half a mile in the city centre with a pair of steps & hammer drill, not something I'd be in a rush to repeat, i f you frequently park a long way from site I would recommend a smaller bag or backpack. Lots of clients comment on this bag when they see me open it, looks very professional & organised & I think it gives a good impression over something like a bucket full of tools or canvass bag with tools chucked in it. www.sure-tek.ch

Best tool bag I have ever bought

This bag is a beast. It might cost a bit more, but the quality is top-notch.

Great solid piece of kit, especially the zips. Other bags I’ve had over the years don’t last a week, I can see these going the distance for sure! Also love the side pockets so I can grab an unbroken pencil when I want or quickly grab my stanly knife.

Oh my - if you seriously want a great tool tote, and value your customers and how you are perceived, then this MUST be considered. It does exactly what you need a tote to do - lets you actually see all your tools. No more scrummaging around trying to find that small tool in the bottom of a normal tool bag. It is actually not too heavy, even when fully loaded, and quite honestly, it carries around what 2 normal totes would, and if they were half decent would cost, say £55 each, so . . . . In my view, and I am a professional kitchen fitter, this was worth every penny spent on it. Love your tools - love this bag!
