I liked the pedometer feature, heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, app. I did not like charging process, it's not very stable, I plugged it in one day only to find it had loosed itself from the contact of the charger, had to start all over again practically holding it in place not that it mattered, it was the final charge, it went completely out after less than 90 days of usage. Somehow this review managed to disappear, hmm; I received a text message from the manufacturer offering to replace the unit while requesting personal information, it was super odd and creepy, I decided to cut off communications with them and blocked their messages, I do not know how they were able to contact me via my mobile messages, I am a long term customer, and never experienced anything like this, while shopping for a new tracker, I choose one to ensure it's not the dead one I previously purchased (it is) only to find my review missing, BEWARE! UPDATE: After being drawered for months I was able to charge and use it for less than 48 hours, it then went out again.

This is a review of the Akuti S1 Fitness Tracker which is an upgrade from the Wesoo K1 Fitness Tracker that I previously purchased. I am a basic fitness tracker user. I’m just interested in tracking my steps. This upgrade does have an app that is very comprehensive if you’re looking for more detailed information.The actual band and face of the watch are much larger now. The red band is not as bright and glossy as it looks in the picture. If I had to purchase it again – I would choose the black band.The screen is bright and colorful and very easy to read. The time and a quick data summery are all on one screen that’s easily accessed when you press the horizontal shape on the bottom of the watch. There are also additional screens that can be easily accessed, including a stopwatch.It charges pretty quickly, and the charge lasts several days. In the upper right corner, there is a bar icon that shows how fully charged it is and when it needs to be recharged. And I had no trouble syncing it with my android phone.The manual is very basic, and it would be helpful if more detailed information was provided, but you can always email customer service if you have any questions or problems. I am actually wearing a replacement tracker right now. There was a problem with the original watch I ordered. I wasn’t able to access the face of the watch. When I contacted customer service, they sent me a replacement and I’ve had no problems with the new watch in the several weeks I’ve been wearing it.This watch really is an upgrade to the previous version and I think it’s a great value for the money.

UPDATE: I am adding a couple of stars to my overall review to reflect the company’s immediate willingness to take care of the situation and issue a refund. I also want to add that my son does continue to wear this tracker from time to time. Sometimes I get the feedback I was looking to track, but more often times I don’t. We did figure out that there is a “button” on the face that allows him to scroll through screens. Lately he has reported that he keeps accidentally turning it off. The only way I know to get it back on is to plug it in for a minute. One of the screens says “off” and he must keep unintentionally pushing the “button” while he is on that screen.I thought I would take a chance on an off brand because it was for my 9 year old son. This tracker is worthless if you actually want it to track anything and then be able to see your results on your phone. It connects to my phone sometimes and then other times it doesn’t connect. It is very inconsistent. It registered my son’s sleep as only lasting about 2 hours long. Yeah, probably not!The construction seems good. If only it actually worked! The only instructions included were quick start instructions, but nothing on how to actually use it. There isn’t a button on it to control the screen. My son figured out that if he just tapped the screen a few times it would come on and he could cycle through the functions that way. As far as I could figure, I turned off all notifications but it keeps sending my texts and Facebook notifications to the tracker. I don’t want my son reading all of my notifications.I will most definitely be returning this item. I really wanted to buy a Fitbit for my son, but Fitbit has made it impossible to link any style of Fitbit to the family account. They have locked it down so that only their kids’ version (the Ace) can be added to a family account. The Ace Fitbit is very limited and not what I’m looking for.I guess that I will be back to shopping for a well know tracker that is not cheap (like this tracker) and not a Fitbit. I am an unhappy parent.

I have been pleasantly surprised by how accurate this tracker is at recording my daily steps. I initially chose it because of other reviews and because it came in my favorite color red. I am happy that I chose it and I wear it daily because it motivates me to be more active.

This device shows heart rate while you're exercising, rather than having to stop exercising to check it. Graphics are easy to read for my 70-year-old eyes! I took 1 Star off because it's hard to know which end of display has the battery prong when it's time to recharge device and because it's hard to tug the band off. I'm very satisfied with it, and I convinced a family member to try this.

The app is garbage and crashes every time you open it.First day wearing it got a nasty scratch that was NOT caused by any abuse, just crappy materials.**Updated to 3 stars only because of the customer service**The seller contacted us and apologized for the situation, they have replaced the fitness tracker very quickly. I'm still a little sceptical, but the customer service has been great so far.
