Limited 140gm vinyl LP pressing. Future Games is the fifth studio album by Fleetwood Mac, released in 1971. It was their first album with American guitarist Bob Welch and the first to feature Christine McVie as a full member. Without the 1950s leanings of departed guitarist Jeremy Spencer, the band moved further away from blues and closer to the melodic pop sound that would finally break them into America four years later. After the band completed the album and turned it in, the record label said that it would not release an album with only seven songs, and demanded that they record an eighth. "What a Shame" was recorded hastily as a jam to fulfill this request.

Good early album from Fleetwood mac.
This takes a few plays to get used to!It's a cross over from a blues band to a more commercial sound, christeen is in the band, but it's hasn't lost its blues vibe all together.

The best album of the "in-between years"
The best album of the "in-between years". That is, after the original line-up and before Buckingham-Nicks. If you're looking to explore this era of the band, Future Games is where to start.

it's one of their great albums with Danny Kirwan in great shape
it's one of their great albums with Danny Kirwan in great shape. Sands of Time is one of my favourite Mactracks with the Shadowlike guitar. Two very good songs by Christine McVie. In fact this is Fleetwood Mac 2 on their best Listen to it and especially to the really underratedKirwan.

Future Games
I've got this on tape and as facilities for playing tapes have all but disappeared and I wanted to be able to listen to the wonderful sounds these guys produce on this album, I decided to buy the CD. I'll confess that the clarity and crispness suffer somewhat compared to other, newer, CDs because of the need to transfer data from a master tape to a digital form, overall it sounds really good. Well worth buying.
