Great board.
I've been using versions of this keyboard for over a decade now and have yet to find anything I like the layout of quite as much. I only got the latest update because I was going overseas for an extended period and decided a new one was easier than cleaning my old one, which still works just fine and has for years and years. These are good solid keyboards that work well and are simple enough to program. If you're looking to test the waters of ergonomic boards but aren't quite ready to give up your familiar layout, this is a great place to start, especially with the lift kit included. For me, the split and tenting relieved pretty much all of my issues caused by my wide shoulders making normal boards an uncomfortable squeeze of weirdly tilted wrists. The one downside for me is purely a hobbyist one, the uniquely sized space bars are impossible to find replacements for if you want to use custom key sets, but if you're not into custom key sets that's a non-issue.

Fantastic ergonomic keyboard
This is a great keyboard! I have used the Kineseis keyboards for years that this is the best one yet. The RGB is a nice touch and the ability to create profiles and even the kit of Mac keys and the key puller is a nice touch. It is comfortable to use and the wrist pad is softer and a nicer material than the one of the previous versions.

The kickstands don't lock and the Software is terrible.
This keyboard cost $200. For that it should be so much better. The kickstands are awful. They don't lick at all. So if you hit or move anything they will fall. They have two tiny rubber feet on the ends so if one foot comes off the keyboard tray it goes sliding. The customization software is the worst software I have ever used. Instead of any normal system it relies on special custom key commands to do anything. It's vastly overly complex and at best is frustrating and at worse doesn't work. Again, at this price everything should be better. Very disappointed.

Whoa, it's actually an improved version
I brought this exact same keyboard three years ago and liked it enough to get it again now. It's hard to go back to standard style keyboard with how customizable these are to your comfort. However, what I wasn't expecting when I got the new one, is that they actually secretly and quietly upgraded the actual keys! That was the one main flaw three years ago where the keys themselves felt like it's from a low quality $20 keyboard even though it was mechanical. This time, the keys got a little weight to them instead of feeling like cheap plastic, and the edges are much more rounded instead of just straight up sharp edged. I'm very happy with the updated version just for the new keys.

Solved my RSI issues!
Solved my RSI within a few days! Super comfortable to type on and love the fact I can adjust to shoulder width. The fact I can hotswap the switches makes this already great keyboard, excellent. Swapped out to Chery Blue switches and never looked back.

LEDs on left hand keypad went out after 1 month.
1 month in and the LEDs on the left hand keypad stopped working. I messaged their tech support and was told to try and "wiggle" the cable to see if the LEDs come back on. After a little back and forth, I was told to just return it. It was a decent keyboard otherwise and a good value. You'd be getting much less for the same money if you went with other ergo keyboard brands. It is just a shame it didn't hold up very long.

( She's dead but not forgotten
I'm writing this review after my Kinesis Freestyle Edge RGB left me for the afterlife. Honestly Its the best keyboard I've ever had. Its so comfortable to use. I work from home and use this every day. Unfortunately it decided to kick the bucket today. I can't complain though, I got SIX whole years out of this thing. I actually went to see the warrenty length, saw it was 2 years and think to myself oh yea i'm good let me check when i bought it, swung by amazon here and found my order was all the way back in 2019. Will i buy another one? I'm not quite sure yet. Getting something like this keyboard in a wireless setup would be cool. I'm in a fever dream of youtube review rabbit holes on similar keyboards from this decade and we'll see where I land. Even if I don't come back to the Kinesis, I have had zero regrets.
