Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select Beast Action Figure

Very well sculpted. Stylistically, it reminds me of campy 1940s-1950s monster horror flicks. The Wolf Man, etc. The sort of things that inspired the creation of the furry Beast character to begin with. Which, to me, is awesome. The face bears a distant resemblance to Nick Cave. Every detail is etched in with almost statue-worthy clarity. The paint is blue, with black washes to make the detail crisp. Even the tongue inside the mouth is well painted, as is individual teeth. Well worth the buy.While I can see that die-hard fans of the 90s Beast aesthetics might prefer the Legends version, and the Legends version looks to be far more poseable (though this Select isn't bad in that regard) I think the vast improvement in quality of sculpt detail and paint application in this figure makes this one preferable.

I absolutely love the detail and articulation of this figure! Beast is meant to be big and acrobatic and he is definitely big and has several points of articulation for a multitude of poses. He’s about a head taller than the Marvel Legends Beast, but not too big to where he can’t be posed with them as well.

I’ve seen pics and I wasn’t impressed with the design choice, but I wanted a Beast figure and this was the best deal. In hand, it’s actually very good! I like it more than rogue, surprisingly. The head-sculpt looks great in person. I still wish there was an alternate head with glasses and an intelligent expression, but this will do.

I got this as a gift fot my Xmen obsessed 8 year old. He absolutely loves it. It is pretty cool-articulated wrists, ankles, knees, elbows etc so very poseable and fun to play with but also very thick and sturdy. It seems very well made. Even my 19 year old was impressed.

Diamond Select came so close to making this the definitive Beast figure; the sculpt is highly detailed, the paint application is on-point, and the articulation is far better than we usually get from Marvel Select figures. If only they had put this kind of effort into a more classic/iconic version of Beast. This figure's proportions are more suitable for a character like Venom than Beast. The fierce facial expression looks great on this figure, though I REALLY wish we'd gotten an alternate head with a more thoughtful expression (since Beast is supposed to be a deep thinker and a friendly genius). Though I don't love this sleek and aggressive take on Beast, the quality is top notch and I definitely like the figure.

Good quality figure if you're looking for a perfect marvel beast! This one is a very high detail figure, about 7inches tall. Came with box and a background stand! Articulation is moveable from head to toes and strong joints! Touch Feels real with pointy hair. Durable figure!

The Beast is a great toy. He has lots of moveable parts and an awesome face. Neat blue color too. A great toy and my grandson who is 6 absolutely loves this thing. I gotta admit, I kinda like it too.

The toy was as if I took it off the shelf of a toy store myself. It was in new condition and mailed in a box that protected it from any mishap in the delivery process. We are thrilled with our purchase.

Been looking forward to add this blue guy to my DST X-Men diorama ever since he was announced and am happy to say that he lived up to my expectations. First of, the sculpt is fantastic. Is fur is very well textured, and the paint application is neatly done. I heard a lot of complaints about the face sculpt not being Lee-esque enough for some people, but I do love that he has a more feral look. His articulation is a biiig step up from the early Marvel Select days and shows just how far the line has come. You also get an extra set of hands, which is always a plus. Like many DST X-Men before him, he comes with a piece of the Danger Room. This one is brand new and unique to Beast, featuring bars for him to hang from. The only problem with the piece of diorama he comes with is that its another corner piece. So as of now, someone who has collected all four pieces finds himself with a lovely.. cube. Which is not the best in terms of display options. The upcoming Rogue figure should fix that with the introduction of a non-corner piece that will be much welcome. For now.. gotta use scotch tape and imagination to make a something more linear that holds. I strongly recommend that figure to any fan of Marvel or the character.
