Not the chrome version, but still effective
I have the "original" chromed version on one trailer, and this one seems to be made of cast iron or aluminum. Still an effective deterrent and will at least slow down a determined thief. Although it can be picked (most locks are not terribly difficult to pick with some basic skill and practice) it is not an easy accessible lock to pick, and from a brute force perspective, it will hold up for a good while before succumbing to repeated blows from a sledgehammer. The tongue of the trailer will also be a mess, but thieves are not the cleverest of the bunch. Overall, I recommend this lock. If your trailer is very valuable or is holding valuable cargo, I would supplement this lock with a wheel locking mechanism of some sort. Best of luck!
