Good read

A necessary topic for construction engineers, "Formwork for Concrete Structures" seems to lack a penetrating insight into the explanation of concrete formwork design. Although not a bad book, it is loaded with lots of illustrations, tables, photographs. There are some equations and calculation examples. But the book just seems to lack a good narrative to discuss formwork design. I'm hoping that the ACI Formwork book is better at that so I can get a feel for formwork design. I wish I had tried the ACI book first, although it is much more expensive. Overall, this book is an average book in its fourth edition.
