Introducing Autodesk Maya 2014

This book is good for beginners. However, I think the early exercises mostly rely on "eyeballing" rather than offering precise measurements for modelling with units. This is particularly the case with the catapult exercise. An explanation of the usage of the inherent snapping capabilities of Maya, too, would prove helpful.

I think this book is amazing for beginners such as my self. I started using this book a few weeks ago in between my revision timetable and find it very easy to follow. I enjoy reading this book while i practice on maya i think it is great and i would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to start using maya.

Excellent resource for learning MAYA.MAYA is a complex software and I needed a good reference source, something on paper I could read at my own pace.

This book is a great introduction to those who starting out in 3D modeling in Maya, it's an ideal introductory book for students.

This Book is a Great entry level to approch Maya, well written and clear on all aspect to deal with, HOWEVER this book started falling apart within a week of using it, even with me properly conditioning the binding, really terrible the assembling of the pages and the book itself, next time i will purchase an digital edition cause this is really a mess with pages that fell away after a couple days. The content is great, but the book's binding is really poor. Not worth to buy a paper copy if you are not a genius to keep all glued together.Questo libro è un ottimo strumento per approcciare il programma Maya, ben scritto e chiaro su tutti gli aspetti che tratta, MA questo libro ha iniziato a cadere a pezzi dopo solo una settimana di utilizzo, anche facendo parecchia attenzione a come lo maneggiavo, l'incollaggio delle pagine è davvero terribile, la prossima volta sceglierò un edizione digitale perché questo è davvero un casino e le pagine hanno iniziato a staccarsi dopo un paio di giorni. Il contenuto di questo libro è davvero ottimo sotto l'aspetto didattico purtroppo la realizzazione fisica del libro è davvero scadente. Non vale la pena comprare l'edizione cartacea a meno che non siate dei geni a tenere tutto incollato assieme.
