Excellent information contained within. The most valuable fact I found in this book, was that persons with foreign (non-Indian) passports can enter the Foreigner Booking Office at the New Delhi Train Station 24/7, and get tickets to wherever you're going without waiting in line downstairs.

Ist eher für alleinreisende Rucksackturisten geeignet. Für Leute, die mit vorausgebuchten Rundreise fahren sind die vorhandenen Tipps und Informationen etwas dürftig.

Not enough maps and history about the places you visit. And also very few pictures to see what your supposed to look at.

I couldn't have planned my itinerary as easily without this. Made the routing much easier, great info, good itinerary suggestions, good maps. They have their critics but I trust Lonely Planet and always find their guide books to be well laid out. I will continue to buy them and still much prefer the physical book copy to downloads to kindle.
