I picked up the PlayStation DualSense Edge Wireless Controller because I wanted something a little more customizable for longer gaming sessions. After using it for a while, I can definitely say it feels like a step up from the standard controller. The first thing you notice is the build quality. It feels solid and slightly more substantial in your hands. The grips are comfortable, and it just has that “premium” feel right away. The adjustable triggers and swappable stick caps are actually useful — especially if you play different types of games. Being able to fine-tune the trigger sensitivity makes a difference in shooters versus racing games. I also like the customizable back buttons. It takes a little time to get used to them, but once you do, they really help with reaction time and overall control. The ability to create different profiles and switch between them is a nice touch too. Battery life is decent, though I will say it doesn’t seem to last quite as long as the standard DualSense. That’s probably the only real downside I’ve noticed so far. Overall, this controller feels like it’s made for someone who plays regularly and wants more control and flexibility. It’s definitely more of an investment, but if you game often, the upgrades are noticeable and worthwhile.

A masterpiece. Pure and simple. I love the standard DualSense controller, but this expands upon the feel and performance in every quantifiable way. It's built extremely well and has a perfect level of weight/heft. The controls are responsive, clean, and incredibly accurate. The detachable analog stick modules are a fantastic addition, as are the back buttons/triggers. After testing four DualSense Edge controllers for almost a year and a half, I can absolutely state that this is by far the finest video game controller I have ever used. Period. Yes, they're a monetary investment when compared to the standard DS variant, but the performance and comfort are unrivaled. Bottom line...if you're looking for the best PS5 controller option available, this is definitely it.

This controller feels a lot sturdier than the original, and I love the back buttons. The locking cable is also a really nice feature I had never even thought about. My only complaint is the battery life is much worse than the original.
