Sunkist Vitamin C 500mg Chewable Orange 90 Tablets (Pack of 2)

If you are looking for the worst tasting Vitamin C supplement out there look no further, this is it. With a name like "Sunkist" I had visions of me, on a sunny day, walking through an orange grove,, stopping to pull a gorgeous fruit from an equally gorgeous tree while little blue birds soared slightly overhead and happy rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrel scampering about. OMG! The taste of these vitamins is vile. Vile beyond words. Vile as in "I'd rather risk scurvy!" vile. What the hell Sunkist? Doesn't this stuff have to pass a taste testing panel? If so, who - or more likely what - is on that panel? I've never felt compelled to throw away newly purchased vitamins (stuff ain't cheap!) but these things tasted so bad, I pitched them - afraid to keep them lest the putrid taste somehow escape the container and savage some other helpless edible nearby. Sunkist, you've just ruined yourself for me - the trust in our relationship is broken cannot be rebuilt. I'll never be able to look at the name "Sunkist" without flinching. On the other hand, the seller of these little nuggets from Hades did provide great service.

I bought these because I was taking the Costco brand vitamin c chewables and they tasted terrible. I was hoping Sunkist might have a better understanding of what orange should taste like. Boy, was I wrong! These taste awful! The fake orange taste is overwhelming and makes me nauseated every time I chew one. I used to love these! I started buying at my local grocery years ago and when they stopped carrying them I was so happy to find them through Amazon. I have purchased through Amazon for several years. They were so tasty. Now...Yuk! I got my last order (4 bottles) and to my surprise the formula has apparently been changed! They taste horrible!!! They do not really even have an orange flavor. Very bitter and have an off taste which lingers in your mouth. Very disappointed!!! Will not order again! By the the time I opened the first bottle of this batch (had to finish my last batch) I am afraid it is too late to send back (will look into that). Thought I just got a bad batch but my sister just received some from Amazon so we tested her batch and they taste just like mine - nasty. Luckily she will be sending hers back immediately. I do not recommend anyone to buy these now. I will be contacting Sunkist directly as well. Gave two stars only because in the past they were so good.

This changed formula tastes awful. This is the second time I've been really put off by the flavor. My first six to ten orders were really enjoyable but these are bitter and the scent is chemical! I waited too long to request a return but I can't force myself to eat them. I'm afraid to order more. Anybody have a suggestion for this stuff?

I used to be all over the Vitamin C and I knew it helped me feel better on a daily basis. I slacked off over the past year... kinda like with the whole working out thing... an didn't think much of it. I recently was diagnosed with a genetic condition that I never knew I had before called Ehlos-Danlos. It's basically a connective tissue disorder that as well as a variety of joint and cardiovascular issues, causes trouble healing. I've had some minor wounds for months and months. A burn on my arm, a few small cuts. The doctor told me to restart high doses of Vitamin C as it's one of the few things shown to help with healing when you have EDS. I chose this one since it didn't have any of the particularly nasty artificial sweeteners like sucralose or xylitol (my dogs like to share and xylitol is toxic to dogs so we never buy anything with it).The taste is different than I was expecting. It's a bit artificial, but it's really not bad at all. I don't mind taking one four times a day since I take a higher dose than average. I was worried about stomach upset taking four but haven't had any at all. And the chewable makes it WAY better than a pill. My kids like it too. But the best part... my cuts and burn are FINALLY healing. I know I've had one at least five months. Within a week of starting this, it finally started making real progress in closing up. Which is awesome and a good sign my body is able to use the Vitamin C in this supplement. I will continue to order this an in bulk since I have to take two to three times the generally recommended dose.

I don't often write negative reviews and frequently disagree with opinions of others but for this product I agree with all the negative comments about the taste of these new vitamins. I have used these for years but now they have changed the taste and it is so bad that I threw them away. Don't know who created the new taste but whoever should be fired immediately.

I love this product! I am very picky about my supplements. They have to taste good or be easy to swallow real fast. Sunkist is so good you either want to chew it up fast fighting the urge not to grab more or you want to savor it by sucking on its sweet yet tangy flavor. They are about the size of a dime and the thickness of a stack of three.One thing to note: My 10 year old doesn't like sour candy and the tanginess reminds her of sour candy but it tastes NOTHING like sour gummies or lemonheads or the like. She will take it but it does take a bit of encouragement.While the orange flavor is very good, I would be weary of the mixed citrus fruit. Strawberry, is good but hard to find.

I have used these for years and really liked them. Clean orange flavor, not very sweet. But they have RUINED them with a formula change. Now they taste artificial, metallic with a nasty aftertaste. And they pack enough sorbitol to have a colonoscopy prep level effect on anyone susceptible.
