A cute cooker
We purchased a yellow-colored Hawkins Contura pressure cooker which looks really pretty. But if you talk about its utility, you can't use your own containers because of its handi-type shape which is narrow from the top. You need to buy extra containers, a set of two, for Rs. 700, which are very small in size. You can cook NOT more than 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of dal.If you are using it for direct cooking, like making pulao, jeera rice etc, then you can cook a good amount of rice.Hawkins claims that, the cooker is having a ceramic coating from the inside. I was under an assumption that it must be very smooth from the inside, but it wasn't. In fact, after one use it was having black stains. If you are looking for an attractive cooker only to cook rice or any kind of direct cooking, then this is a good buy.

Wrong claim
The advt claims that it is a ceramic coated but when I received and checked, the coating is only on the outside, which is untouched by food. The inside is aluminium, which is a strict no no.

Lena chaiye ya Nahi
Hawkins naam hai kaam bhi sahi karta hai but humne ye jo liya hai.usme issue ye hai ki uska jo Dhakkan hai wonproperly band nahi got a to jayada time leta hai kuch bhi pakane ke liye.

Best pressure cooker I've ever owned
Easy to clean. Light weight. Great shape to heat quickly. Easy to seal. No nonsense. Plan to use on wood stove when the hydro is out as well as on my stove.

Love It!
My new favorite way to cook. Definitely read the instructions and watch safety videos online before using. That being said it is a wonderful product and I absolutely love using it.Make amazing pulled pork/chicken bbq or anything similar. Love making mixed vegetables in it as well.Best advice I can give is that less heat is better, I've used it about a dozen times and only had one problem with burning and that was when I put it on a high BTU gas burner at max heat. I also would advise letting the food sit for 10-15 minutes after heat is turned off before opening to continue the cook.

Great pressure cooker!
I love how this one lets off steam. It's a steady quiet release. the last one I had bobbled around and made more of a racket. The design is clever and thoughtful. It accepts a collapsible steamer basket (sold separately).
