Natural Coconut 1/2 Shell

This was painted black and then black elastic glued to it to make a chin-strap, which made a bicycle helmet for my grandson's stuffed lion, who goes with grandson when he rides his bike. It was really cute.

I mean, they're natural coconut shells. I chose them because of their size and their durability. I am now going to attach holes to the sides and attach them to my cage where my little rats live and turn them into suspended beds. Things for them to climb around in. I got the idea when seeing a bird perch made out of a coconut Shell at the pet store. Rats need things to climb around in and I wanted to be a little creative. I figured as hard as the shells are they could probably chew and not get too far into them

If I could send this back, I would. It's so tiny, it's not very useful. *Technically* it's 4.5" long, but that's measuring all the way to the little nub sticking out at the end. It's a little misleading.I want it for doing shamanic work, and it will be passable for the time being, but I will have to continue to search for something better.

So, I actually bought two of these because my Halloween costume was King Arthur from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, so I needed two coconut halves to clop together to make horse sounds.They were exactly what I needed: real coconut halves, nothing fancy or extra. Now I have bowls if I want them, bonus. I'm giving them five stars because they had excellent tone, very horse-like, and got me a lot of attention on Halloween.This might be the only review like this that ever gets written for this product, so congrats.

We needed these for horse sound effects. They did a good job.

My son is obsessed with Monty Python and the Holy Grail and this set of 2 coconut shells was the perfect stocking stuffer last year. (If you know - you know - lol)I liked how it came in a set of 2 (unlike other ones I researched) and the quality is top notch. Certainly stands up to plenty of being bashed together to make clip clopping sounds for days!

Got my beautiful coconut shell cup earlier than expected.. I cleaned it sanitized it and oiled it with coconut oil. Goes perfect with my Kava!
