1. The Moonracer watch and why you should back it Moonracer is a unique watch for a unique adventurer, it uses New Old Stock Nixie tubes and Nixie tubes display technology that was discovered in the time of Arms and Space race. In Moonracer, space-themed design was applied to Industrial revolution aesthetics that refers it to futuristic steampunk. Moonracer is eminent and aggressive. This pre-supposes similar character and behaviour of the wearer. Moonracer is an implementation of dreams and stories of thousands of people all over the world. Moonracer consists of Nixie tubes, perfectly programmed circuit, durable battery, case, and strap. To charge Moonracer, it should be plugged via Micro USB /USB connector to power source – computer or laptop. Then, you should check its charge level and disconnect when the battery is full. Millclock wants to make Nixie tube technology affordable for more people, and not only by price, and as home and office products. We want to bring the Nixie tubes outside, put them to people’s wrists, let them be used on the go. We want to let people express themselves more consciously, and more vividly. We want people to track their history, preserve beautiful technologies, share heritage of sub-cultures, be expressive, be aggressive. We want them to achieve. Only by aggression, not oppression, and only by reaching out civilizations develop. We believe this is the future and we want to make it real and affordable for everyone.

Cool concept for the geekster but arrived non working.
I own several Nixie tube items and always wanted a Nixie watch. Unfortunately this item arrived broken. In fairness the after sale support was good, the seller readily answered all my Emails and refunded my money for return.

A chance to become something big.
(RECEIVED A DAMAGED ITEM THRU SHIPPING)Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome my name is Evan, and today we are going to jump on in to reviewing the Nixie Watch, made famous by steve wozniak. This review was not provided on a free product, but from a customer that paid full price to show his review as if a customer where to buy a product. A lot of people like to either go the route of the smartwatch, or trusted brands when it comes to choosing a watch like, Apple, Fossil, invicta, rolex, breitling, but those don’t come at a cheap price. Third party sellers are popping up everywhere to show that their watches are to please customers without breaking their wallets. I decided to give a company named Millclock a chance by checking out their very unique product. They tried to raise funds for their product on Indiegogo or kickstarter, and unfortunately didn't reach their main goal. I decided to give it a shot, because they to believe in fair prices for their products. Also I too wanted to look like Steve Wozniak and stand out in the crowd. The price was a bit steep at 300 dollars, but a promotion was going on to drop it down 30 dollars. Still expensive.I received the watch and applaud the company for the overall design aesthetic. It looks really cool to be honest. There are some unfortunate issues though and cannot be missed. On the left are three lights Green, Yellow, and Red. I believe this isthe battery level indicator. You are sent via an email the instructions on how the watch works, which if your not a watch expert, can be a tad confusing. If you are easy at figuring out different settings and are used to digital displays with buttons, then it is pretty easy to figure out. I glanced at the instructions, and was able to figure it out with no problem. To actually see a nixie watch in personis actually quite satisfying and is unique compared to other watches currently on the market. Overall what can go wrong with this? Well a lot actually..... I must have received a possible defectiveunit because the buttons get stuck frequently. It is a bit sticky, and it doesn’t always work when the buttons are pressed. Even after following the instructions and charging it correctly, I wished the material used in the overal watch was all glass, but you don’t see all glass watches nowadays do you? Metal around the watch display with a silicone band usually is the standard. I went tolook at the time and it wasn't operating. It wouldn't even respond when I clicked the buttons, and when it did respond, the time reset itself. I also couldn't get the 12 hour mode to cooperate, and would only work on 24 hour mode. I was tempted to send it back, but given that it comesall the way from the Ukraine, and the shipping is downright ridiculous. 200 dollars to send it back. What!? Let's talk pros and consPros: The costumer service seems to be pretty good coming from amazon. I also contacted them via their etsy page. But Amazon was my choice for this purchase. It is a little more expensive due to amazon taking some of the funds via a percentage, but makes it a little easier to use when it comes to refunds and peace of mind. The design of the watch itself looks futuristic, with a low light coming from the watch itself. I wished it was a tad brighter or could be adjusted, but that wasn’t applicable. No for some cons, and a lot incoming. You can’t qualify for two day shipping when coming from some third party sellers, especially from Ukraine. That's right, this watch almost traveled the whole world just to get right into my hands for review. The arrival time took almost a month to get here, but thankfully I am a patient guy. They sent me an email showing all the instructions on how to use it, and boy was it confusing. I was afraid I wasn’t going to figure it out, but it would have been nice if they would have included some nice little pamphlet or card saying thanks for your purchase with simple instructions. The price is worth talking about. There are two companies. Millclock, and Cathode Corner.Cathode Corner is the watchmaker that Steve Wozniak used, but those cost at a pretty whopping price of 600 dollars. Whereas Millclock offers theirs for 300 dollars. The overall quality is not very impressive. Looking at it more it is very bulky, and the metal feels like it was 3d printed more so than a durable aluminum base. It feels flimsy at times and if you were to knock it against something, I would be afraid of it cracking the case. It isn’t that on the heavy factor like some watches which is good, but it almost looks like a bomb trigger on your wrist. It suits nice for a display on a counter, but for daily use, it is something I would have to say to stray from at this time. I was hoping for more of a design to stand out, but it looks pretty boring except for the center. The back has the company logo engraved which looks alright, but would have been cool if the watch was made out of glass to see all of its inner glory. Sure that would be more expensive, but would make it look higher quality. For almost 300 dollars, this feels like a prototype that hasn't fixed all its bells and whistles. The main concern for me at this time is the buttons that stick, and that it resets itself a lot.I was also given two extra nixie tubes that if need being to replace them, is possible due to the longevity of the tubes is unknown, they may need to be replaced, but are available still widely for purchase. I was not able to figure out for the life of me how to replace them if need be. I looked at the instructions and no tools where given, so I didn’t know how to proceed.Overall how satisfied would I be as a customer to go this route? From 100 percent yes do it now down to no way hosay, at 0 percent this is more of a 50% Do you want a watch that stands out and gets lots of attention with the risk of it not cooperatingOr do you think it is a cool watch with some internal design flaws, poor construction/durability,/possible 3d printing parts? Overall I think Millclock was aiming to provide a inexpensive watch to enthusiasts and I applaud them for theirattempt, but I am deeply saddened that the watch does not perform to my expectations. So should I refund this or stick with it? I still am unsure because I really want to like thiswatch. For improvement I wish that the usb could provide updates to the internal components to make sure everything is installed correctly and up to date. I also wish that the quality was better than what was received. Came in a cardboard box with Russian writing, in a wooden black cheap box to hold the watch with bubble wrap, unveiling a almost 3D printed watch. To show class as a watch collector and reviewer, it needs to have glass around the whole watch so that the inner geek in me could see all the goodies packed into this watch. It would also appeal to many individuals, because some people are allergic to this metal and would help out a lot with the overall bulkiness. The center of the watch also has a plastic covering which depreciates the value tremendously thinking it was a glass shield. So to break it down, it is a computer chip, with a watch strap, nixie tubes, and a very cheap feeling cover. The watch band, seemed to be the only nice part of the watch and seemed of good quality, but everything else was not impressive at all. This is a watch that will definitely stand out in the crowd, but I personally would not recommend this watch to anyone at this time, until they release a new product and fix the issues coming from the current model.I hope you enjoyed my 100% honest review here on Amazon, Etsy, and Youtube, and for more reviews be sure to check my amazon profile provided in the link of this video for many reviews on other products. Till our next review, take care and thanks again.
