easy to install and prompt delivery
I needed next-day delivery of black-out blinds for the velux windows in our loft room. This reduced my options and led me to buy two DARKONA grey blinds. If I'd had more time I might have chosen a different colour, but the Darkona range was OK in terms of neutral colours. The blinds promptly arrived the next day and after an initial 5 minute puzzle on how the frame would fit, they were very easy to install. Took me on my own no more than 30 minutes to install both blinds and they fit perfectly. They've now been in use for a week, opening and closing every morning and evening and they are great so far. My only slight negative would be that both blinds came packaged separately in boxes that could've easily fitted 6 blinds. Seems a great waste of packaging material, which is something Amazon should really address.

Fits easily into the window if you have the correct size
Tad expensive for what I got. Fits easily into the window if you have the correct size, good colour choice and are definitely black out blinds, you won't be able to see a thing. However, biggest negative is that you can't stop them half way or whatever. Overall, good buy.

Rolls back up
Really nice blind. However the blind opens up by itself after a few hours which I am unhappy about as I bought it for my sons room and it wakes him up when the light comes in

Problems to fit?
You cant fit this? You need to read the instructions...Easy to fit.So easy to fit intact, I fitted mine with the window in the roof space, on top of a set of ladders, alone.Easy.Would suggest, if you are up a set of ladders though, fitting this with the window in the roof space, take a drill to drill pilot holes for the screws just to make it quicker for yourself.

Fitting can be challenging. Watch video, read instructions several times before installing
Unless u have a basic knowledge about blinds, installation may be tricky. Instruction manual should include more detail like IKEA does. Needs updating. Watched the video on YouTube. Even for a DIY enthusiast I had to struggle with couple of them. Once fitted works ok.

The price is reflective of the cheaper material and mechanism
Some light filters thru the bottom where the slider shuts. At times it just slides up on its own accord so the locking mechanism is not well designed. However the blind costs half the price of the original velux.

Looks good!
Much easier to install than I envisaged. The hardest part was slotting the second string pully in place as tension tight. I had to take out the first one and then do the harder one first then ok. Blind stuck halfway down initially after installation then I realised I hadn't screwed the additional two side scews for the larger blinds as flush as I should have. Once I had the blind operated perfectly. It now works well and looks great and almost half the price of a Velux blind!

Great product at a great price.
Superfast delivery. The first blind was fairly difficult to install but after that the 2nd and 3rd were easy, only taking about 5 mins each. The frame fits snug and no gaps at all. The amount of packaging for this product was pretty ridiculous though!
