Hoppe'sHBC2 Bore Cleaning Solvent Liquid

I bought this for my firearms cleanings and I must say this stuff is amazing . I've always been a huge fan of Hoppes 9 and this is just magic. Been using this for gosh over 10 years + and love everything about it most of all it doesn't have that strong smell that leaves you light headed if you never before used the Original, lol. this is ODORLESS and it works just as great as the original. leave this in your bore for 10 minutes and hello sparkle, it really cleans everything and more in firearms rifles etc. there's not one thing I don't like about this or any of the Hoppes 9 line of cleaning products, you wont be disappointed.

Great value for the money. A good cleaning product from an established brand that produces quality cleaning and care products for your firearms.

Great stuff, loosens up the carbon on bcg and chamber and it wipes clean without scraping. Spray and let set for 10-15 minutes.

I'm far from a gun snob or an expert by any means. I just enjoy shooting stuff and making certain the gun will continue to work as intended. I bought the Hoppe's High Performance Gun Cleaner and a Hoppe's Viper Boresnake to clean out my three pistols. The gun cleaner comes in a pump-action bottle which does seem a bit difficult to get where I need it. I'd prefer a squeeze bottle to minimize waste. It's a little difficult to apply to something like the Boresnake without a ton of "overspray" all over your hands or working surface. Having said that, it's my only real complaint with the stuff. It works great to get any built-up carbon, unburned powder or other gunk out of your barrel. I'm certain this stuff would work great on other pieces of your firearm like the trigger assembly if needed. It has a familiar smell to it; it's not unpleasant but it really reminds me of some other kind of cleaner that I know I've used before. The large 6oz bottle will probably last me a great long time. Overall, it's good stuff and seems to do the job well enough for my standards. The barrel is cleaner than it was when I started and I put in minimal work, so it's a winner for me.

As a competitive shooter I go thru a lot of cleaners and brands. This is the only carbon cleaner I use on my Staccato XC and Staccato P. Does an excellent job, does not leave residue perfect to follow with a good CLP to keep them performing. I also use on my Geissele Super Duty, Bootleg BCG along with the same technique this product followed by CLP. Well done Hoppes

Really good cleaning

The original Hoppes #9 has been my go-to for years for breaking down and removing carbon buildup. Up until now, I had not found a better solvent. That said, Hoppes Black raises the bar by outperforming the venerable #9. If you shoot frequently and/or have to clean multiple firearms after a long day at the range, I encourage you to try Hoppes Black; it is that good in my opinion.

I love the smell of the original Hoppes #9 bore cleaner but I needed something that wouldn't stink up the entire house after a range day. Not only does this have a "softer" smell it actually clings to parts to dissolve powder residue and copper! My patches come out blue and black! Just a quick spray down the barrel and chamber and let it sit while I clean other parts. When I come back it's ready to go. Bore is shiny after. Hoppes Black oils and cleaners let me maintain my firearms and friendships at the same time. Win win!
