Jawbone Mini Jambox 'Red Dot' Portable Bluetooth Speaker

My wife and I travel monthly, and this is the perfect little speaker to allow us to hear music and watch movies, etc. on the go! It definitely produces higher quality sound than my Macbook Pro, more bass, more depth. It also trumps my iPhone 6 for sound quality and low-mid-highs reproduction. Obviously, for a speaker this size (fits in my hand) the volume isn't super loud, but it is noticeably louder than my phone, and this is perfect for my uses (mostly indoors, in quiet environments). Besides doing the job sound-wise, it is a beautifully made device. Solid metal, but lighter than I expected. Certainly lighter in weight than the other speaker I considered, the UE Mini Boom. I am glad I opted for the mini JAWBONE, because having seen and heard both in person, the mini JAWBONE sounds better (if not as loud) and it has a much nicer construction. The shape and diminutive size of the mini JAWBONE is much better suited for travels as well. Last thing, out of the box, the battery was at 30% and I jumped right in and started listening. Bluetooth pairing was easy, the instructions were very simple, and it worked like a charm. I chose not to download the app, as I don't see a need for it myself. This also kept set-up time to the minute it took to read the teeny-tiny instruction book (all 4 miniature pages on usage). I love that it works without needing to connect to a computer, or have me register, or download an app, etc. I wanted a simple, beautiful, good-sounding mini speaker for travels, and the mini JAWBONE Jambox ticked all those boxes. Great little piece of kit, sound quality excellent.

I've bought other Bluetooth speakers previously and found they all operate and sound much the same. Ordinarily I would not have paid this much, but my daughter asked for this model and she is very pleased, and so am I. This device is surprisingly good on looks, feel, sound quality at top volume and battery time, therefore I feel it's worth the money. It has some extra sound features which make the sound different, so you can pick which mode you want. As of time of writing, the fancy stuff on the jawbone website is fun for 5 minutes but not much use.

Good sounds quality, but over priced. we bought this and a £30 ipod dock. This is annoying to use in comparison. Too few buttons for it's own good - it's probably fine if you are using it with a blue tooth device, but if you're planning on using it with an old ipod and a wired connection look elsewhere.This also makes a tacky annoying sound when you turn it on.

Sounded good but had a nightmare pairing to phone via Bluetooth, device constantly unpaired & switched itself off

It's a really great little speaker. Sound is clear, it connects to Bluetooth immediately and the battery lasts for ages. It also looks really great and although I haven't taken it traveling yet, it's the perfect size.

Very handsome and portable personal music device. Not suitable for big spaces and audiences.
