amazing quality but not the brightest dot
Five stars for quality and design. The lens size is the largest out there in terms of red dots. If you're a prepper or zombie hunter you'll even appreciate the fact that you don't need batteries to run this puppy. In fact, even in zero light, the fiber optic charges a tritium reticle (basically glow-in-the-dark) that you still have a functional dot in no light. Crazy how they figured that out. The only bummer is that the dot is amber and thus weaker than green or red, and a little fuzzy such that it's not the most accurate or pin-pointed dot like an aimpoint. The dot isn't nearly as flared as a Nikon, it's somewhere in between. But you get what you pay for an in terms of quality and hardened strength (I'd have no fear of dropping it), this is truly one amazing dot sight. So let's recap:1) Workmanship = 10/102) Lens size = 10/103) Features (no battery, tritium backup dot) = 10/104) Quality of dot = 7/105) Brightness of dot = 6/10Would I buy this again? Absolutely. Although I might consider a different color dot (if they make one) or a smaller reflex for the brighter dot. But I would recommend this over any other competing no-battery dot if asked. I want this review to be clear that I recommend the sight, I just want you to be aware it's not the same brightness as a battery-operated sight. Obviously :)

love it with a little love loss
I purchased this sight about a year after buying my acog, and i loved every bit of this sight till at night i was looking through it and hit my surefire light and it completely washed out the reticle ( a problem i never had with my acog) i contacted trijicon to ask about this problem of it washing out at night when a flashlight was used with it and told them my acog went from a lighted reticle to a dark reticle when flashlight was turned on they told me that is due to the acog has etched reticle to help this. and that the smaller forms of the reflex sights by them have a screw in polorizer to not let light in the front and wont wash them out but the rx30 models they do not make a filter for. so i purchased a flip cover for my light its a difusser, spreads light in a more open vs a direct stream but that still didnt help. so i found in day time its great prob best sight i have found and quickest to find target in just has the light problem at night. if the made a polarrizer for it it would be almost as great as my acog

and it's easy to sight in on any flat-top AR
Trijicon--what more do you need to say?If you are looking for a holographic sight for your AR--especially if you do 30gun competition where speed, accuracy and ruggedness are important, this is the ONLY optic you need to look at. The aperature is HUGE compared to most red dots and other holographic sights, the quick-release mount is solid and accurate, and it's easy to sight in on any flat-top AR.It does sit a little higher than iron sights, so you might want to put a riser on your butt-stock to get proper cheek-weld and sight picture. This is a FANTASTIC optic, and it really "upped my game" in competition! Not only dies it look great, and is rugged as a brick, it's light-weight and helped me increase accuracy and shave seconds of my stage times.

trijicon
it is exactly as it is listed a trijicon rx30 with throws not a knockoff in case your unsure and it works great i wish it was available in green or red, but the amber is ok and the tritium is way better than what was done to the tripower that is a let down i think the tripower must be to the nightvision crowd it sure stinks for anyone else, but anyway back to the rx30 it seems built tough as nails with great fiber light transition and quality glass and a large opening that is easy on the eyes.

Four Stars
Very nice but had to adjust to full height position in order to zero in

maybe I got a bad one, I'm surprised this is a Trijicon product
The dot looks like a vertical bar to me. I don't know if it's the A.R.M.S. mount but the sight sits off center on the top rail, more to the left.

Absolutley great optic
I mounted this on my 12 gauge tactical shotgun. Why have an optic on a shotgun? You don't have to put your cheek on the stock, you can simply pull it up, both eyes open, dot on target. Pricey but very nice.
