Hosa GFT-447WH BULK 2" x 180' Gaffer Tape, White

so, yes, this is white(ish) colored tape. the image shown is misleading, as it shows 3 rolls. this is one roll of tape. works great, though one minor issue and the reason i rate this as a 3 instead of a 4 (i nearly never rate anything with the 5 stars unless it is super-outstanding and value).The minor issue is that the tape will commonly "string-off". when tearing the tape off, it will sometimes leave a string on the roll and when tearing away the piece that is being used, the string coming off is kind of inconvenient.the other part that is the major contributing factor for me of the 3 stars is cost. this stuff is way expensive. wish there was a less expensive option, as I use a lot of this tape.

Moral: buy the good stuff. This is much like duck tape rather than true gaff, leaves residue, has a more vinyl texture, and doesn't tear as easily. The adhesive isn't as strong either. That said, it's far from the worst tape ever; you just shouldn't expect Pro-Gaff tape. I didn't buy this for purposes where the quality was a huge issue, so I bought the cheaper stuff, and if you're just looking for decent tape of the gaff variety and you don't want to spend a bundle, this would probably suit you fine. If you're looking for Pro-Gaff... well, what kind of an idiot would I be if I were expecting Pro-Gaff tape for these prices?

Does what gaffers tape should do, mostly. It tears easy, holds well, and removes cleanly. I was just disappointed to find that it did not remove cleanly from raw wood. Came off of carpet ont painted surfaces fine, but it left residue behind on the wood, which I've known other brands not to do.

Well, for the price its okay…Its almost got a smooth plastic feel and not as soft or flexible as the paper type. Not like the good Gaff tape from like Pro-Gaff USA. It is very sticky on the sides and will stick to everything. Very sticky…Would I buy again? Hmmm….maybe for the price. But, I probably will try to find the soft paper style.

I love gaffers tape. I love the way it doesn't leave a sticky residue behind. I HATE how much my wife uses it now that she realizes what an amazing product this is.

As many people have complained about this tape, I think the biggest problem with this tape is that it doesn't stick to itself. I used it a couple of times and if the surface is clean it sticks ok. If you have to wrap the tape over itself then it will un wrap. Returning.

I should have known that the cheapest gaff tape on amazon would be... cheap. I'm not pleased with the material and texture of the tape. It's white and not black as pictured (I admit I should have read the headline and description more carefully). All in all, I would only recommend this tape to someone looking for a cheap solution.
