Seiko Neo Classic Perpetual Chronograph Black Dial Men's Watch SPC133

This watch is fantastic! Although its face is a little "busy," I quickly became comfortable with it and was not bothered by the many display functions. Aside from Roman numerals, I do not like numbers for the hour markers (1-12), but I actually like the look of this watch. It truly does look better in person than in the pictures. It has a terrific contrast between the markers and hands, and is very easy to see from any angle. I bought this watch after I returned the same family-style of watches (the Seiko SPC 127) because although that watch did not have hour marker numbers, it was difficult to see it with the silver hands, even when looking directly at it.I have had the SPC 133 for several weeks now and still gravitate to it, even over my Omega Seamaster! It truly is an excellent watch! What I find odd is that this watch (black face with white hands and markers) is domestic to the US, the identical watch but in reverse (white face with black markers and hands) ( the Seiko SPC 131) must be imported from outside the US?!?! That is the version that I really want, but am hesitant because of the process for purchasing it! Oh well, maybe one day

Some thoughts .... 24hr alarm far more useful than 12hr alarm on other watches, but requires use of a less intuitive 24hr subdial. I have a large wrist but this piece is huge -- larger than Submariner or Speedmaster Pro. Chintzy leather band replaced w/22mm black NATO. Hard to read minutes quickly (esp. between 5 and 15 minutes) since tachymeter scale and minute markings overlap (the date scale near these marks adds to the dissonance) -- marking every 5th minute w/a different color or symbol, or moving the tach dots out to a larger radius might have helped. No lume. Gotta take off glasses so my old eyes can read date or set alarm. Be sure to run thru alignment process when you first get it and whenever batteries are changed (pp 13-15 of manual) -- the alignment was close but not perfect when i received it. Overall, a beautiful timepiece, great bank for the buck.

A great looking watch that is accurate to the second. Very impressed with the look, the quality, and the value. The watch makes a statement and is an attention getter. I would buy it again!

One thing that bothers me, which I'm considering sending the watch back, is that the worldwide guarantee is missing, meaning ist's a grey market watch. Otherwise, the watch is great. I'll update with some time.

Este reloj realmente se ve bien en la muñeca. Sin embargo es triste que no llegase en su empaque original y sin papeles (garantía, instrucciones); estos elementos le suman valor al reloj, tanto si lo quieres vender a futuro o simplemente como coleccionista. No solamente pagas por un reloj, pagas por esos pequeños detalles. Una pena, la correa está algo más rígida que en otros relojes de costos similares (importante tenerlo presente si a futuro no piensas cambiar la correa de cuero?). No es un reloj que pese al llevarlo. Por lo demás, es un reloj que funciona correctamente. he escuchado grandes reseñas sobre este Seiko Neoclásico, por el momento va bien, ya veremos cómo se comporta.

This is a beautiful watch through and through. The face is a true black and it has a nice shine compared to the photos on Amazon. The size is just right. Not too large but still full and the characters are legible from a distance. The calf band comes stuff but is broken in nicely within 24 hours of wear. It is also has a large enough size range to fit virtually any wrist. Functionally, the watch is fantastic. The chronographic feature are extremely precise and consistent. Same for the calendar features. The one thing preventing me from giving a full 5 star rating was that the alarm subdial came to me wrong. The fix was actually a hassle because of the process to adjust said dial. All in all the watch is great and for the price I consider it even better. I've been picking it out of my collection more and more because of the durability and style.

Love this watch. Once you get through the manual its pretty easy to make adjustments. The hands are the only minor complaint. Just a smidge to small so it is a little difficult to read. Otherwise, just a fine purchase. It is quartz but it's okay this one time. Well worth the price point. The band isn't to bad but ordered a barton with red contrast. Perfect.

What a stunning watch. The traditional minute hand functions as a day, month and battery level indicator. It has month, day, date, alarm, second time zone and chronograph. I’ve had it for 2 months now and not only is it an eye catcher but it’s super accurate. I’m a bit of a watch snob and this was so different I had to have it.

￥13,780で購入（販売: タイムcom＆SHIRATORI）。個人的には、超絶的（大袈裟）買い得モデルだと思う。ちゃんとセイコーの箱に入って届き、「純正」の分厚い８カ国語マニュアル（日本語なし）とは別に、日本語の簡易説明書が３枚入っていた。頑張って英語を読むつもりでいたので拍子抜け（笑）。商品ページにも書いておけばいいのに。箱があるなら、調整不要の革バンドだからギフトにも使える。価格から考えて中国工場製のはずだが、‘CASED IN CHINA’のシールはなかった。多分、販売者が剥がしたのだろう。ムーブメントは日本製だし、中国工場の機械設備は日本から持って行っているそうなので、品質に問題はない。ケース径は44mm、べセル径42mm、風防径36mm。昨今の流行と比べると、ベゼルが幅広でバランスがいい。文字盤・文字と目盛り・針は、写真通り、くっきり黒と白と赤。バンド幅は、ラグ側が22mmで尾錠側が18mm。ラグ側から尾錠または剣先に向かって、はっきり細くなるタイプである。◆ケース・ベゼル一見シンプルな形状のようでも、詳しく見るとなかなか凝った造形になっている。ベゼルは３面からなり、ヘアライン部を上下から鏡面部が挟んでいる。ケース上面と側面はヘアラインで、その間に帯状の鏡面部分がある。ラグ部の内側は鏡面。安い時計なのに、こんなに工数を増やしてダイジョブか？と心配になる。（余計なお世話）大きいのでそれなりの重量があり、もしステンレススチールのバンドだったら、筋トレ用品の仲間入りができる。実際は革バンドなので、気になるほどの重さではない。質感は充分高い。ただ、ホントに高級感が欲しければ高価な時計を買え、というミもフタもない現実が、庶民の前に立ちはだかっているのも確かである。◆バンド質感は悪くない。裏も本革。ケースの大きさ・厚さに対して、一応充分な厚みはある。ただ、型押しタイプはステッチ部が薄いので、見た目は頼りない。と思う。問題は尾錠で、なぜか肉薄、安っぽい。時計本体が「立派な」大きさ厚さなので、これはイタイ。同じセイコーで１万円ちょっとの革バンド付きクロノグラフを２種持っているが、どちらの尾錠もこれより肉厚があるから、釈然としない。まあ、革バンドはいずれ傷んで交換するわけだし、オーディオ機器の付属ケーブルのように、「動作確認用の間に合わせ品」と考えることもでき、、、るかな。◆文字盤・針Ｂボタン（下のボタン）で「カレンダーモード」と「ストップウォッチモード」を切り替える。７本の針のうち、３本は「マルチファンクション」である。衝撃で針のゼロ位置がずれても、修正できる。◇天秤針軸から両方向に伸びているので勝手に「天秤針」と呼んでいる一番長い針は、カレンダーモードでは「日付」を指している。Ａボタンを押すごとに「月」→「うるう年から何年目か」→「日付」と変わる。「日付」以外を表示させていても、10秒後に「日付」に戻る。24時（0時）になった瞬間、針がピっと動いて日付表示が変わる。ストップウォッチモードでは、計時秒針になる。◇12時位置の小ダイヤル「曜日」または「ストップウォッチモードであること」を示す。◇６時位置の小ダイヤル（同軸２針）ストップウォッチモードでは積算分針、積算時針。カレンダーモードでは「アラーム小時計」になる。アラームが設定してあればその時刻、設定が解除されると現在時刻を示す。時針は１周24時間で、午前・午後の判別ができる。アラーム小時計はメインダイヤルとは別に時刻合わせをするので、外国の時間に合わせておくこともできる（デュアルタイム）。◇９時位置の小ダイヤルは、時刻秒針。設定を含め、操作は、ややこしいだけで難しくはない。（人によっては、このややこしさが「越えられない壁」になるようだが．．．）＜良い点＞○複雑な機能と操作が、男の子をワクワクさせる。（笑）○「針がマルチファンクション」は、機械式（ゼンマイ式）では不可能だろうし、クォーツ時計でもカシオにはできまい。こんな低価格では。したがって、安いけれど、いや、安いからこそ、「さすがセイコー」と満足感に浸れる。○ストップウォッチがスプリットタイム計測可（計時を続行しつつ、Ｂボタンで「表示ホールド／ホールド解除」ができる）。○モード切り替え時など、針がモーターでスーっと動くのが気持ちいい。○時刻の視認性に優れる。薄暗い場所も含めて考えると、やはり「黒地に白」が最強である。但し、蓄光部はない。○ベゼルとケースの凝った面構成、ヘアラインと鏡面の使い分けが、見て楽しい。＜弱点＞○実用には大きすぎる。○暗闇では無力。ただ、この時計の場合、蓄光部があると文字盤の見た目を損なうから、弱点ではあっても欠点ではない。('･ω･`)ﾄﾞｳﾁｶﾞｳ○バンドの尾錠が安っぽい。＜その他＞○機能と操作の複雑さにロマンを感じない人、メカに弱い人は買わない方がいい。いやまあ、見た目が気に入ったからどうしても欲しい、と言うなら止めはしないが．．．この時計は、高級感というほどのものはないにしろ、文字盤もケースも眺めて楽しいし、マルチファンクション針のギミック感もしかり。人に見られてどうこうではなく、所有する喜びがあると思う。評価は星５つ。尾錠は気に入らないが、私はバンド交換が前提だし、おそるべき低価格（笑）を考えれば減点できないヨ。　----------------------------------このSPC133P1と、白い文字盤に青い針のSPC131P1を比較検討する人は多いだろうと思う。私も、SPC131P1の写真と動画をいくつか見てみてた。しかし、期待したほどのレトロ感や上品さが感じられなかったこと、針が青いとバンドとの組み合わせにいくらか制約が多くなることから、他に持っている時計との兼ね合いもあり、「計器」的な配色でスポーティ感のある黒い方にした。文字盤がアイボリーで針が黒なら、ぐっとレトロ感が増し、「ちょっと野暮ったい上品さ」も出てくるのにな～、と思う。しかし、白地に青は視認性がいいし、清楚で知的な雰囲気になるので、それはそれで魅力がある。いやいや、安いからといって、もう買いませんよ。うん、買わない。多分買わないと思う．．．　----------------------------------写真の１枚は大きさ比較。ケース径は、左から40mm、44mm、40mm、36mm。右端の時計は、ベゼルが細いので文字盤は大きい。右から２本目は、ベゼルが黒く、タキメーターになっているので、やはりサイズ感は大きい。実際に腕に着けると、ケースの大きさ・厚さの違いは写真よりはっきりする。もう１枚は着せ替え例。個人的には、一般的な型押しタイプのようにステッチ部が薄いものより、厚さが均一でゴツい感じのものが似合うと思う。
