Very Happy I Selected It
Bought this watch last month and it arrived very quickly. It is just what I was looking for as I wanted a gold watch with a leather band. The band only needs to be adjusted once as it has a clasping mechanism that allows quick on and off. One of the main reasons for me selecting this particular watch is because it is a perpetual battery. I thought about another kinetic perpetual but my Seiko Coutoura has had the battery replaced once and seems to be failing again for the second time, so I went with this quartz battery watch.

Only thing I don't really like is the wristband
Came preset perfectly, arriving on-time and ready to use. Dial face looks more mother-of-pearl than picture suggests, which I prefer to what actual picture shows. Only thing I don't really like is the wristband, which is a hinged clasp. Kind of heavy and after extended wear the hinge becomes uncomfortable. An easy and inexpensive fix for an otherwise great watch!

Bought this watch 4 years ago and loved it. However
Bought this watch 4 years ago and loved it. However, recently when I was resetting the time the crown broke and I could not get the watch to start again. I took it to a watch repair shop. They attempted to fix it, but I was later told that it could not be fixed. In my opinion, this is far too short a time for a watch such as this to become irreparable. I have owned other Seiko watches that have lasted much longer with no problem.

spot on accuracy
I purchased this watch about 3 weeks ago and it arrived on time and everything appeared ship shape upon opening the box. I have another Premier and I sync'ed the two of them about a week ago with the atomic clock and both are still spot on. The watch is truly beautiful and it may be cliche to say, but the pictures don't really bring out the luster of the case and dial. The gold tone hands and markers really stand out against the silver dial and the gold case is highly polished. The Premier line also features a sapphire crystal which is hard to find in a quality watch under $300. I also like the perpetual calender feature as I don't have to reset the date 5 months out of the year and the watch also adjusts for leap year. This watch comes with a good quality leather band which I prefer over a metal bracelet. However, the lug width on this watch is 21mm and NOT 19mm as stated in the description. The watch band that came on the watch is clearly stamped "21". The only problem I have is that it is almost impossible to find any selection in leather watch bands to fit a 21mm lug. I wish watch manufacturers would discontinue making cases with 21mm lugs, as it seems they could use a 20mm or 22mm just as easily. Oh well, enough griping about that.I have 6 Seiko watches in my collection and I can vouch for their quality, accuracy, dependability, and they are good looking to boot.

So far So Good!
Problem with a lot of budget watches out there with date functions is that they usually start miscalculating the dates. After a month, a few months, or even a year, your watch will most likely be a day off. (not to mention 15-30 minutes off) So if you can't trust your watches date function, what use is it? So far this is keeping the date and the time perfectly. I have no idea how watches work, but I'm glad this watch is smart enough to do that. I guess it must have a radar sensor that adjusts for moonlight or something.Plus this watch has a real scratchproof crystal, so that is good. I always bang my watch into something, so I absolutely will never buy another watch unless it has the scratchproof crystal. Hell, plenty of watches I looked at were $600 + with regular mineral crystal. The leather is good, and the strap set like this prevents the long term wrinkling of the leather strap. The watch aims to be sophisticated but doesn't go overboard on price or looks.

Bigger and clunkier than expected
While this is a handsome (for lack of better term) watch and I enjoy Seiko products, I returned it because it was bigger and clunkier than it appeared on the web. Additionally, the wrist strap mechanism was too awkward for me. Amazon's excellent customer service and return policy once again came through for me!

After 2 years, I'd buy it again.
The price on this watch has dropped by a little more than $30.00 since I bought it.I WOULD STILL BUY IT AT THE PRICE I PAID...AND MAYBE EVEN MORE.Once you have it in your hand, you'll see how gorgeous this watch is.I bought it as a dress watch and it is VERY dressy. But I do wear it just knocking around if I'm not going to do anything to cause any scratches.I've had several compliments about just how nice it looks. If you want a beautiful watch that will go with jeans and a dress shirt or a suit...or a tux...this is it.Keeps flawless time. Has a nice leather band with quick on/off cantilever design(my terminology, I don't know what it's really called).I'm very pleased.EDIT: After 2 years, I'd buy it again. It still looks as good as when new, but I do take care of it. That being said, I have worn it almost every day since I bought it.

Great look dress watch.
The Seiko Men's SNQ118 Premier Brown Leather Watch is great looking. The ideal of not having to change to date, on odd months is great. I only wish that one could buy this watch with a gold mettle watch band. The silver watch comes with a silver mettle watch band, but it is not nearly as good looking!
