Good value for money
Good book for the price, a little worn round the edges but my daughter loves it

A great first step towards re-education for overprotective parents!
My daughter selected this from the library when she was 5. We must have read it about 15 times during the three weeks it was with us and it has become part of our family culture so we now have our own copy. Whenever I try to offer safety advice ("hold on tight!", "be careful you don't slip!") I get "Remember Colin!".In the story, Colin is the youngest, smallest rodent of the group, overprotected by his Mum who worries about his wellbeing and ends up literally wrapping him up in cotton wool. Colin triumphs at the end of the story proving to himself, and his Mum, that he is quite capable of looking after himself. I would recommend this book to any child looking to re-educate their overprotective parent, and particularly to children who are small for their age or the youngest of their group. As a parent of a child born prematurely (under 2 lbs), my overprotective nature is perhaps stronger than most and it has been challenged and somewhat revised by this book. Colin is a legend.
