These worked out great. I used these extensions to connect to led strips that I have on the ceiling. These extensions allowed me to have the controller at a lower level on the wall next to the regular light switch.

These connectors make it super easy to extend or connect LED strips and controllers without breaking out the soldering iron, which saves a ton of time—especially on larger projects. The 3-pin JST SM connectors fit perfectly with WS2812B, WS2811, and SK6812 LED strips. Last year was my 1st year into pixels for Christmas Lights. I had bought some pixels off here and they used JST connectors. These cables are probably nice if your controller utilizes JST, but mine uses x-connect. Needless to say, I had to do a lot of soldering. These cables were used as extension cords for some props/models. I thought with these colors I could wrap them with electrical tape to make them black. That was a time consuming mistake. Essentially, if you want to do it right, just pay the money for the right connectors. These are not water tight connections. You have to get something to put into the connection and then plug into it. I used these outside and they still work, but I can't recommend them for the application I used for them.
