Sony DVP-SR370 DVD Player (Black)

Before you buy this, consider that this is a budget offering. Also, if you're buying a DVD Player in the age of online streaming, you have very specific requirements.I use this mostly to play my Audio CDs from the past decade. Don't want to open up my laptop every time to use use my headphone out for my HT speakers. The DAC on this is good, at least better than my laptop. I'll probably buy a reference CD Player once I have enough budget. For now, the sound quality is better than I expected.Picture quality is good. Not as good as a BluRay upscaling player, but good nevertheless. The UI looks like it's from 2010, and could use some work, but OK, simple and straightforward enough. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to set-up.P. S. In case you face an issue of no sound when connecting to the TV via the AV In, go ahead and Google for the solution. Simple fix for me - connect the Audio Out to the Receiver or Speakers directly, while the Video only goes to the TV.Summary - Good budget DVD Player. If you want HDMI Out, return this one and buy a different DVD Player, or buy a converter. I personally bought this as this is among the very few DVD Players that still have RCA out.

Run very old scratched discs seamlessly without any hassleBads:1. User interface is very difficult to handle (You will need some time to get used to it)2. Get some time to start up once you insert the disc (For a minute you may feel that this disc may not run, but wait and press PLAY to star disc)3. It doesn't have output to attached sounds (You need to start TV for listening music, I would have give 5 Start if it available)It doesn't have display, many people add it as a Cons, but I will not add it in Bad section as it is already shown on website that it doesn't have it, so you need to decide before purchase that whether you want player with display, as other player with it available at higher price.So, if you are looking for DVD player which will deliver basic feature with high quality, Go for It.

Nice product

It's a compact DVD player. Playback DVDs, however, the output is not available as specified. The description shows that "components video out" (it is by RBG video and a stereo audio cable). But, this player has a RCA cable only. Yellow - video and white and red are audio.It contains a USB interface to play stored files. Almost all the operations are through remote only.No display on player but every operation shown on video screen. Size of the player is small (and light weight one).

I received this product. Unfortunately it's defective. The Eject button itself does not work - so I can't even insert a DVD. If this is the problem in the very first day, I wonder how many other issues there would be.Also, the demo and installation option has been crossed out - so no one will come from Sony to give a demo and install the product. It's pathetic that they sell a defective product and also cross out the demo and install options on the warranty card. This is Cloudtail/Amazon for you? I am very unhappy with the product.

With the budget I had, this meet all the my requirement. Plays almost all type of VCDs, DVDs. Even plays them when DVDs are not very clean or new. Only draw back is it does not have optical / HDMI cable feature.Still good to meet my need at such a low price
