Good collection of Tamil songs. Also has a few Hindi songs. Carnatic collection is good too. Audio quality is good too. The website has the song lists. The remote is useful and is easier to surf songs. There's no search or direct song selection though. The device itself is quite easy to use and would be liked by people of all ages.Customer service didn't give me a pleasant experience, perhaps there was no service player near my city (Hosur). There's a problem with the battery which never shows as fully charged. This was informed to Saregama who tried for doorstep service but it hasn't happened yet. Seems to be a one off case and a minor issue, as the device still plays well and long.Definitely, a good buy for music lovers.Delivery was prompt.

The sound quality is excellent. Wonderful product. looks great , very convenient to use. The selection of the songs is also good. High volume of quality sound from this small sized player. The only problem is some songs are having low volume of sound and some songs are having high volume of sound. The packing by Amazon is also good. Buy it, if you want to listen film song of 60's and 70's. Now this player under repair and the company is requesting me to send it to them by courier. Service centre is not available at Tamilnadu. So don't purchase. It is impossible to get it repaired in Tamilnadu, as mentioned by them.

Got defective product please take it return

We are senior citizens; I purchased this for my wife. It is a very good companion for her. We have had continuous touch with Carnatic music through radio, tape recorders, CD players and TV; we have seen the passage of 78&45 rpm, LP gramophone records, magnetic tapes, cassette players, CDs, and storage devices like USB; now pre-recorded music is available in Carvaan.The external finish, various control knobs, display are good, The tonal quality is good; the recordings are sharp and without background noise.Once it is tuned to some program we need not bother for a long duration; with the availability of a list of songs from the website we can pick the required choice of song. We carry it to the garden, porch or wherever we go for rest.We find the pre-recorded film songs are of no use to us; we also imagine that in the near future "each customer's choice" will be recorded exclusively and will be despatched (i.e. made to order piece).

Overall build quality is Very Good. Sound at max volume play is good without distortion.Now shortcomings. 1. The FM radio is not provided with antenna, resulting in the poor radio reception. 2. When the FM is played with the charging the music quality is affected by the direction of the set. 3. To tune into some FM stations the set has to be turned to different directions like the good old Medium wave radios. This is annoying at times.

Great product. Bought it for my DAD and he loves it. The quality of audio is awesome, particularly on well-recorded songs and on FM and Bluetooth mode. Song selection is good, not be best, and some are recorded in poor quality, though it might be just how they are originally. It looks like SaReGaMa's copyrighted songs, and some selections are a total disappointment (for instance, the AR Rahman ones) but some real golden oldies in both Tamil movie and Carnatic category make it just a great buy.And not just me but everyone loves the looks and build quality. Brings back the old radio feel.

I purchased this for my Uncle who's ailing & he loves it. I can't possibly find any faults with it for the time being. I read numerous issues being raised by customers. What else do you want this radio to do ? This radio apparently has 5000 songs that are pre-loaded from Hindi to Tamil. It also plays devotional and carnatic as well. There are a wide variety of artists that are covered in various genres. In addition, you can also connect USB & play FM radio. There is an option of battery as well as external mains. Initial impressions are this product is excellent for a single person/small room. Very user friendly as well.
