Okay, so the shape isn't quite as I expected; the primary image is from the top down. I was expecting something like a bar of soap, but this is more like twice the height of a normal soap bar; consequently, this stone is much easier to hold than the cube shaped stones! This is a very large portion of Alum; it should last a very long time. It works as well as my others, and is much easier to hold on to due to the shape. Happy with this one, and I'll buy another in a year when this stone dissolves away!EDIT: Or, alternatively, I guess I'll get another right away, as the imbeciles at the TSA apparently can't tell the difference between a block of alum and a bomb...

Deodorants have always irritated me to the point that I can not use them.Someone advised me to try deodorant stones so I tried the Thai Stone.I could not be happier! There is zero irritation and zero odor. Wet the stone and rub it on. I use it after a shower and no odor all day. The instructions advise that it can be used on feet also. I would guess it could be used anywhere you have an odor. The salt minerals kill the bacteria and no smell. Also, the stone appears as if it will last a very long time, maybe a year. The size is aboune half the size of a baseball and is solid like a rock (or mineral). When it is used you can't notice the size changing. It comes with a little plastic dish, which helps it to dry and keeps it from being messy.There are concerns that deodorants can cause cancer and the deodorant stone is reportedly safe.

Definitely works better than expected. My technique is to wet the stone and thoroughly rub it under each arm while I count slowly to 10. With that small effort, I have no odor at all, all day.Cons: Goes on water wet, which is fine but takes some getting used to if you previously used dry sticks. Comes with silly plastic dish. One reason I went to this product is to decrease plastic waste, like the endless deodorant stick plastic, so this is still a lot better, but they didn’t need to include it.

What I wanted is not as pictured which resembles as a bar soap What I received was a smaller version that is thicker and narrower. I cannot confirmed the weight since I do not have the scale. I actually paid more just to have the bar soap shape for better ease of application. The less expensive ones sold by other vendors is what I received which is the smaller and thicker one.

I love my deo stone! I've been using it for about 3 years now. It's a great value - doesn't wear quickly. I can't say for certain how long it lasts, because I've dropped 2 stones and am on my third. That was my fault, and now I'm very careful. To address the obvious "does it work" concern: I wore this while I was backpacking through Mexico in peak summer. I've never been so hot in my life, but I smelled fine! DO put on a lot though, like sing the ABCs for each armpit. It's such a great natural and elegant solution.

One stone lasts a long time but it is only a beginning start with the stone then a layer of deodorant. Helps even in heavy activity.
