Mahagro All Purpose Premium Potting Mix- With Cocopeat & Organic Fertilizer- 10Kg.

It’s been a while since I’ve been growing plants indoors and after using various different potting mixes I came across mahagro on amazon and I can pretty much say that this is totally worth every penny.It holds moisture and has a great drainage which ensures no root rot. The plants have been thriving in this mix and I always carry this mix in a small poly bag when I’m going to get new plants to my nursery for them to be potted in this.Few things to keep in mind:1) it can be used as a 100% medium for your plants just make sure to press the top layer a bit after potting to make sure your plant stays upright.2) always research on the plant you’re buying or recently got into your home for its light and watering needs. (Too much water isn’t the best for the plant always and neither is too much direct sunlight)3) you can always use less than instructed diluted seaweed on your plants once they settle in this medium to promote growth of your plants. (Although the mix contains slow release fertilisers extra nutrition never harms unless you’re over fertilising which is harmful)4) do not add any vermiculite or organic khaad/compost since it can increase chances of pest infestation.5) plants are like kids always remember to care for them and their growth needs.Happy gardening.

I have been using Mahagro Potting mix for past 10days and it is working extremely for my plants.. it is observed that it is quite ok even if we don't water the plants for two days and the mud is still wet.. also, the leaves & branches are growing with good strength.. as the summer is coming up, I suggest all the plant lovers and gardeners to use this Mahagro Potting mix..

I was primarily looking for ways to reduce the need for watering plants and I came across MahaGro potting mix. And wow! I got a lot more than what I was looking for! The product came in great packaging. It is lightweight. Doesn't create a mess as soil does. Easy to transfer. I've been using the mix for a few months and the watering frequency has come down significantly. I've noticed better and faster growth in plants (I've not yet used any additional fertilizer). The 10 KG bag was sufficient to fill about 10 medium sized and 3-4 small pots. I'd highly recommend this as a potting medium.

This itself might be a good product but to grow plants, only this is not sufficient as advertised by them. So, other materials like sand and others needs to be mixed as well for a good plant mixture.

The soil has a nice texture , looks premium, I have used it for sowing seeds as well as potting plants. For both I had good success. The delivery was hassle free and packaging appropriate. Did not require any fertilizer additions and very much value for money. This I would surely buy again in a week.The soil smells great in rains, no foul odour and does not stain. It gives my comfort to grow edible in the soil.

Best is to use the garden soil, cocopeat and keep aside. Then add other ingredients as per plants requirement.Each plant is different. What will work for zinnia will not work for succulents, and so on.Bad as seeding mix.No hold for big trees.Too much water retention is not good for roots of many plants.Many of my plants died in their top blooming period, after reporting on this mixture.Growth of my succulent pups has stopped completely!No seeds ever germinate in this mix.I potted lady finger seeds in just this mixture, and in simple garden soil - no points for guessing which sprouted!I even tried calling them for rescue - they replied to my mail confirming a call back, but never did.It is good for use as just top soil for nutrients and water retention, but not for any other thing.Even for that, we have other measures.So net net, don't buy this potting mixture.Use simple garden soil, cocopeat, home made vermicompost, cowdung compost, and other fertilizers - as per the need of each plant.One size fits all doesn't work with nature.

As mentioned in the description the mix is very light weight n retains water so long. I really watered my plants alternative days in peak summer. The plants are loving this mix. Thought I did not put my plants solely under this mix, I added some garden soil and cocoa peat along with maha gro. I'm loving this product. Could have been a bit sturdier mix because it's difficult for light weight plants such as methi, palak n other greens to hold their tender roots. But I'm looking forward to get another bag when needed.

I've been using the product for more than a year now and am totally satisfied with the quality and the mixture. It has supported my indoor plants really well. It's quite light weight and allows a right amount of water drainage and retention. Only suggestion that the product may be made available in other metros as well. Tried ordering for someone in Delhi but it gets cancelled everytime.
