ATD Tools 3749 Front Flip Welding Helmet Black 2 inch x 4.25inch

It's a perfect cross between a pipeliner and tigerhood. It's so much better, lighter, and compact compared to both, just a hair wider than a pipeliner. Has really solid and comfy headgear as well. After about two years now of using this hood I can say that this thing is hands down the best hood for just about any weld process. I use a auto tefuewa lens for mig and buying second hood to put a passive lens in for tig welding. Lightweight, affordable,durable, and classy, out does my 3m speed glass any day if the week. I am a structural welder of 5 years.

Very good very lightweight welding shield. Headgear is comfortable and reasonably sturdy. Flip up works fine and lense stays put. NO light leaks. Overall very good deal for the price.

What was the $20? It's definitely worth the money and I'll tell you what it definitely beats welding with no shield at all! Mine is handy dandy fits like a glove spins like a top and flies like a bird! I'm glad I have it! So will you! Came fast good value works good reliable

Excellent hood, should come with better flip up hinge

The shell of the ATD hood is stamped as made in Taiwan. It's smaller and lighter than the Fibre-Metal Tigerhood with slightly less rigid material. There's room for modification if desired, but the hood is perfectly usable as is. A protective lens is installed in front of the filter lens. The clear lens in the fixed portion may rattle out of the box, the solution is to push the retainer in some or add another clear lens for a tighter fit. I haven't tried it, but I believe the other reviewers who mounted the shell to a hard hat just drilled holes in their hard hat and mounted the shell with its stock adjustment hardware

This hood is good for starting out on welding at home. It protects your eyes very well and fits very well. Fast shipping.

The shell is durable but the flip lens has weak hinge pins. the head band material is very slick which causes the hood to move around, otherwise is comfortable.

Inexpensive 25 dollar helmet that functions fine. Bought it for some occasional welding at home and it does exactly what I need it to. If I was a pro or was going to wear it for hours everyday at work I probably would not purchase this helmet. I would be spending a lot more money on a much nicer helmet. For what I am using it for it is perfect and the price is right! Takes standard size shades.

Very small hood and won't adjust small enough for my head. Really plasticy. You won't get respected for wearing one of these. Just buy a Fibre Metal Tigerhood and use it for the rest of your life.

Does the job & light weight. Probably best bang for your buck with this helmet. Just drop the hood and giver, wouldn’t recommend using the flip lens, it looks like it will break fairly easily.

Doesn't like to stay up on my head all the time. Likes to flip down on its own.
