Cartel 2045 [Blu-Ray]

Danny is great no matter the film. Quite impressive for a shoestring budget.

I started watching this, but I couldn't get all the way through. The acting was pretty bad, but I don't think it's the actors' fault. The script is pretty terrible. The special effects are good if it was made in the 1980s.

Drug dealers with battlefield drones on the borders of America!So a team is sent to deal with it.Yes, the tropes are predictable; evil drug dealer (played brilliantly by Danny Trejo), marine offered redemption after having been framed, US intervening in Mexican problems, drug wars on the border, emerging technologies in the hands of bad people, traitor in our midst....But fun, none the less.Trejo can carry off Mexican gangster like noone else. The blinged out military robots made perfect sense for criminals with a reputation for gaudy arms. The plot, while predictable, was executed well.And it should be thought provoking; drug cartels in Mexico have already used drones to move small amounts of drugs over the border. Using armed drones or robots to intimidate and kill is a short step.Yes, there is a cautionary element, but don't think to hard. Just bring popcorn.E.M. Van Court

ok so im not going to sugar coat this, this movie is awful, the writing is nonexistent, its cliche after cliche. i like danny trejo but not in this. there seems to be more then one plot line and none are related. this is a super low budget movie and it shows. all of the actors...well cant act. the editing is just as bad. i feel like is was shot in 1 week and it was the editors job to try to make something from the footage. i gave it 2 stars cause trejo is in it.i really had a hard time getting through this and i would not recommend it.

Sorry I liked it. But mad about the fake grainy flim (Trying to do like grindhouse I think) Some of the special effects almost made me wince they were so bad also looks like they left 1/4 the movie on cutting room floor to make it PG 13 but I liked it. Missed half the jokes in Spanish with no English subtitles

I'm just starting to watch this movie and so far the movie seems pretty good but the fake aged film effects are completely pathetic. There's a lot of cheesy contrived movies that call themselves grindhouse or something like that, really contrived, sarcastic,"look at me aren't i cute and clever" b.s. instead of just a low budget kick-A coolguy movie. They almost all have this stupid software effect of degraded film in them and it's off the charts stupid, gives me a headache so I'm not even going to watch this. But it looks sort of like a cool movie why did they have to use that film speckle crud...

it is kinda over the top... but it was fun... liked the droids... and always enjoy Danny Trejo's work...

Issue 1: the video was extremely grainy and Had lines running though the print line it was a 35mm print front the 1970s. any digital camcorder could have been cleaner.issue 2: The sound was muffled I had to jack the sound to max and still couldn't hear half the movieissue 3: stage hands seen standing in background in bar fight. Cast missing marks and running into each other( no retakes)We forgive anything that has giant robots in it but I have seen better productions on youtube by 10 year olds
