As the Crow Flies by Gail Hartman (1991-03-01) Hardcover – January 1, 1778

Was looking forward to reading this as I had grown up around the area.This has a good story line and would be enjoyable for both males and females, set in the 1290s.I will be buying any more books by this author, for the first book published this is definitely worth a read, and have several people lined up to read it after me.

A very imaginative historical novel, unusual in it's approach to adding forgotten facts about the area where it is set.I can highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys medieval history or is interested in the past of Tonbridge, Kent.I am hoping there will be further books from this author.

I enjoyed this book immensely from the first page to the last, I couldn't put it down. The descriptions of events and the landscape are wonderful, the story line captivating. I thoroughly recommend you buy this book especially if you enjoy history (the research must have taken a long time), mystery and intrigue.

Not my usual read but I have really enjoyed this its a great mix of history and mystery. Her descriptive prowess keeps the reader desperate to read more
