I got this brush because I needed to replace a DAK brush that I gave away to a friend. This looks exactly the same, so I thought maybe it was okay. It is not exactly the same.This brush has bristles cut unevenly and a little too long causing them to bend excessively instead of brushing down into the record grooves. A little disappointing, but I thought I would just make the best of it for a while until I could get around to getting a better one.But then the bristles began falling out! This is a serious pain. The bristles are black. The records are black. The bristles are thin enough to lay down in a groove. If this happens, it may take a thorough wet cleaning to get one to come up out of the groove it's wedged in.I am willing to entertain the notion that this was just a factory defective brush and that maybe they aren't all like that. However, I have never had such issues with brushes by DAK or Audio-Technica, or even from KAB products. I am not willing to give this another try.

easy to use & fast drying. I sometimes pick up records at yard sales, they can be quite dusty and covered with fingerprints. This cleaning system works great for dealing with that. I really appreciate the little brush to clean the larger velour brush.

I'm not really sure that it's the most effective dust remover out there, but it does a job and that's all I can ask. I would recommend it.

Just what I needed

Effective combination of felt pad and carbon fiber bristles. Used for dry brushing before each play.

Took a while to get here, but it has quickly become my primary method for cleaning and maintaining my records. Forget all the expensive 'carbon fiber' brushes etc. This velvet brush blows them all out of the water. Excels at grabbing dust, and the stylus cleaning brush is service-able too.
