Great Shaver for Wet Skin, Don't Need Cleaning System
I am quite happy with the Philips Norelco Shaver 7300 for Sensitive Skin.I have a Norelco model 7110 shaver that I estimate to be 13 years old (it was my Dad's, I picked it up after he passed away 10 years ago) which is STILL WORKING FINE but thought I could benefit from newer advances in technology. [Side note: I don't get Norelco's part numbering -- my Dad's 7110 is nothing like this new 7300 yet technically they both would classify as 7000 series.]I was open to purchasing any brand, but thanks to other Amazon reviews, I learned that Braun sells an expensive shaver that they don't stand by -- Amazon customers who got defective shavers complained in reviews about how poor Braun customer service is -- so I stayed clear of them. Panasonic looked promising, but there is a pattern I saw in Amazon reviews that stated that their Panasonic shavers died precisely at the 3 year mark just outside of the warranty. In the end, I stuck with Norelco, but opted for this sensitive skin version of shaver which saved me $50 off the cost of a higher end model that has multiple modes. All I need is one mode -- on. That is what this shaver provides so I am happy. It does the job. I have never gotten red marks on my neck from this shaver. Norelco even extended the warranty from 2 years to 2.5 years if I registered, so I did. This model comes with a money back guarantee from Norelco, and what impressed me is that they want you to try it for 45 days before returning it. I had no need to return it, it works great! Now regarding the cleaning system -- I was skeptical about buying a shaver that came with an ongoing supplies expense. But guess what, it is totally unnecessary. I have owned this shaver for four months and have never used the cleaning system, not even with the cleaning cartridge it came with to get me started! When it comes time to charge the shaver, I just plug the cord directly into the shaver.I don't use shaving cream with my shaver, just water. I take advantage of this shaver's ability to handle water by running the tap on hot and slapping some hot water on my unshaven face to wet the hairs before I shave. I read once that a dry hair is 50 times harder to cut than a blade of steel of the same thickness, therefore I love the fact that I can wet down my face and then shave. After I am done shaving, I pop off the top part that contains the three round heads and I rinse away all the hair shavings under hot water. I then let the two parts (shaver minus top and 3-head top) air dry in the cabinet under the sink. Next day when I am about to shave, I click the two parts together. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time. I got my new shaver on January 30th and charged it initially as instructed. I then shaved seven days a week, and did not need to recharge until April 17th! It is now May 28th and I am still running on the second charge.

Great for sensitive skin.
I have a very sensitive neck. My older Norelco left my neck irritated all day even though I use a pre-shave lotion. This new 7300 model has different shave heads and operates at a much higher speed than the old model. It works great! Even after the first shave, there was no irritation. Now after two weeks, I am very satisfied. The shaver is harder to clean with running water, but it comes with a charger/cleaning system so I don't have to wash it by hand every day. I highly recommend this shaver fi you have sensitive skin.

overall great shaver
Shaves really well. I had to stop using a safety razor due to my blade being discontinued, and carving up my face with every other blade. This has done the job really well for the first week. not quite as close and takes slightly longer, but no more bleeding. I highly suggest using Lectric shave with it, made the gliding of the shaver easier and closer. The only down part of the shaver is the distance of the blades from the edge of the shaver head. makes getting tight up against the nose on the upper lip a bit difficult. Overall pleased. Cleaner works well enough, but you can split the head open and rinse it out in the sink as is so I just use the cleaner one a week.

THE SHAVING SOLUTION FOR THE MOST SENSITIVE SKIN!!!
I've had VERY sensitive skin my whole life and have spent big money on top of the line Fusion Blades for years and still suffered razor burn, etc! I even consulted with a Dermatologist twice to no avail! The 7300 has ILLIMINATED ALL the symptoms! I simply read the User Manual, followed the shaving tips and was on my way! The 7300 is so very worth the investment...and If it doesn't perform to expectations you can return it within 45 days! Following the shaving and cleaning tips is essential to reaping the full benefits! TWO THUMBS UP! Plus they have great toll free product support 7 days a week!

... been researching electric razors and thought that he might like this one so I purchased it for his birthday
My son had been researching electric razors and thought that he might like this one so I purchased it for his birthday. He has been using it every day for about three weeks and he told me that he thinks it is great. My son in law also has sensitive skin and now he said he is going to buy one of these shavers also.

Doesn't work as well as cheaper Norelco model
Quite disappointed with this model. Used another, cheaper Norelco before this and got a better, closer shave. That one lasted me 5+ years. This wasn't worth spending extra money on. Lasted just 8 months before parts of the head assembly came off and couldn't decipher how to reassemble them. Won't buy this model again.Philips Norelco Shaver 7300 for Sensitive Skin, S7370/87, Frustration Free Packaging

Charger stand allows for a good cleaning. I clean it every time it needs ...
Works well. No adjustment for depth (that I have found). You do have to pull off the triple blade and put on the trimmer (I use mine for my neck/sideburns, but I guess it works for beards too). Charger stand allows for a good cleaning. I clean it every time it needs a charge (about 30-50 uses, I think). I don't take the stand when traveling, but I do take the charger and plug in to the razor directly.

Disappointed. Does not provide a great shave.
Does not work as well as the previous Norelco's I've owned. First time I'm not impressed or excited about a new Norelco razor.Cleaning function is cool, but I "assume" the cleaning cartridges are much more expensive that just purchasing the cleaning solution.Hoping Santa brings me a better working model. Any suggestions ???
