What hand measurements apply to each paddle size? please use actual numbered measurements.

Speedo says get paddles that are *slightly* larger than your hands. My glove size is women's M or men's small and I got the medium Speedo paddle and promptly tweaked an old shoulder injury. Obviously a purpose of paddles is to increase resistance but a conservative paddle size might prove more sustainable and therefore build better fitness. You can always move up a size but getting rid of tweaks is hard. :-/

What are both edge to edge dims (length x width) of the respective sizes (S,M,L) of the paddles please?

Length 7” Width 5 1/4” I only know the small size because that is what I bought.

Will these work for floating on a tube down the river to maneuver yourself in the right direction?

Probably could but is it sturdy enough. That would be the question. The structure itself seems sturdy but will the elastic, securing your hand on the paddle, hold up.
