I love the way it looks but if I do more, I'll set up a fence and use a router instead of a circular saw if it's in existing floor. On a new install it should be easy. You'll have to stain it and polyurethane it to match your finish but you'll be pleased with the product.

I like these but have decided to return them. They are nicely constructed and would look very nice with the new flooring after being stained to match and seem to be a good value. I just dont think they provide enough air flow, so I am going to have to use high flow metal registers instead.

Easily fits into my existing hardwood floor. Planning to buy more. The only issue is that dampers does not close the vent completely, other than great product

These oak registers look so nice if you have oak floors - really dresses things up for not a lot. Be careful though with DIY - you better be completely comfortable using a multi-tool plunge blade to get these into an existing floor and a mistake is there forever. I decided to let the pros install - about $50 each - worth it as they knew exactly how to do it so gaps are small. Only nit: the oak quality is one step below the floors and with close examination you will notice the grain difference. Still, a big improvement over the typical metal registers.

We had new teak hardwood installed throughout our main level, and I simply researched flush mount floor vents. We went with the unfinished and I took a plank of the floor to Home Depot to try and match the wood; stained them ourselves. NOTE: Only for a pro to install with real 3/4” hardwood.

I love these. I gave a low rating for ease of installation because these need to be installed when the floors are installed. Not really a DIY for me. But the end result is beautiful. My contractor was able to install them and since they're unfinished he was able to stain them to perfectly match the floors. Overall it is a great product the air dams work beautifully once installed and I like that the register grates can be removed cleaning out the vents. I would recommend this product for anyone getting hard wood floors installed.

I purchased this maple wood register recently and it looks very nice.The product is made very precisely and strong. I like this hard maple wood vent and the texture on it.

Fit perfectly with our 3/4" hardwood flooring. We stained the underside and clear coated/sanded to confirm it matched how we desired. With our tongue in groove the top sat a millimeter or two above our flooring. We sanded two of them down so they sat flush with the rest being off in corners and not needing any leveling/sanding. Great product. Strong and the vent closure mechanism works well.
