Amba SAFSB-24 Solo 24-Inch x 38-Inch Freestanding Towel Warmer, Brushed

It looks very nice sitting next to my shower, taking little room. The bathing towel is warm at the top, where it sits on the top bar. The rest . . . so, so. My robe, of course, can hang there for hours, waiting to become warm to the touch. It has never happened so far. Not what I expected.

I looked at several different kinds of warmers, and was put off by the fact that many of them don't really get very hot. This company, however, gave the temperature achieved in the description, which is similar to the heat level in towels warmers in Europe. I was going to put a built-in towel warmer (this brand) in my remodeled bathroom, but decided to get this one because I could move it with me, or move it to a different room (like laundry room), and it was less expensive. I was a bit worried about stability, but it is reasonably stable. However, you would want to stabilize it better if you have a child who might pull on it. It isn't very heavy, but it would fall over. It has a switch on the top, so it is easy to turn on and off. You can plug it into a timer so you have warm towels in the morning, too. It only takes about 15 minutes to get really hot.

We have used Amba towel warmers in the past, but this is our first free-standing one. It works great! I am happy with the 38” height because we prefer larger towels. We leave it on all the time so our towels are dry and toasty at shower time. We have to creatively fold our towels so we can fit 2 across. I can think of 2 things that would make this product even better: 1. Wider, maybe 3-5 inches, 2. A low-profile plug that sits flat. The cord and plug are heavy-duty and white. The plug sticks straight out of the outlet with the big cord protruding further. Think heavy-duty, white extension cord. I purchased an outlet adapter that allows me to attach the plug from the side, just to reduce the profile a bit.

Ok when i first got this heater i was very disapointed Fist the box it came in was all smashed..But i did not like it because it did not heat the towell up very good..But here is what i learned ..If you just keep the thing on all the time.You can not turn it on right before you get in the shower it needs time..But if you just leave it on it works well good..It does not use hardley any electric than i can tell..And i now use the same towell all week as it is dry and not hot but warm to the touch.

This review is for the Amba SAFSB-24 Solo 24-inch x 38-inch freestanding towel warmer, purchased via amazon.I bought this for my husband as a gift after seeing a friend's wall-mounted version. We did not have a suitable wall location for mounting one, so we went with the freestanding option. I did some internet research and chose this brand/model based on other positive reviews. We've been using it for over a month and we love it. We were mostly interested in having our towels dry, but the warmth is nice also. We read other reviews and have been keeping our towels folded lengthwise in 4ths on it, and it definitely dries them thoroughly and seems to keep the warmth in better than when the towels are opened out more. To minimize our costs/electricity usage, we bought a timer to have the towel warmer turn on/off at different times of day based on our shower schedule. Love it!

This rack heats up nice and fast - I turn it on when I am getting in the shower, and by the time I am out (maybe 10 minutes), it is nice and hot! I love it!

This towel warmer did not warm the towels. It is cheaply designed and when I returned the product, the company said it was damaged and will not give me a refund. Not only did I have to pay to ship it back, I was told that if I wanted the product back, I would have to pay shipping again to return it to me. I certainly did not want the product back as this "towel warmer", does not warm the towels. Also, in the email regarding the no refund, the company stated that the other reason they refuse to give me a refund is that there were scratches on the unit from shipping and that it could not be resold. The product SHOULD NOT be resold as it does NOT work, my reason for the return. Very disappointed.

This is a solid product, well made, looks great...gets very, very HOT. If I could do it over again, I would order a larger (in length) unit. We use large bath sheets and about 3-4" of the end of each side hangs beyond the warmer, so it doesn't get warm or that dry. I don't know if everyone uses large bath sheets like we do, but keep that in mind.
