Works so well...not as gross as they seem!
To be completely honest, the whole idea of these things is so far beyond gross that I almost couldn't bring myself to purchase one. As parents we do so many things that are beyond awful, but I almost drew the line here. Snot sucking? Really? Is that really a necessary tool? Sadly, the answer is - yes. After you have a baby who is stuffed up and unable to sleep, you'll be willing to try almost anything. These snot suckers work amazingly well (we've had 2 different brands). And there really is no way that you'll get a mouthful of the green stuff. Gag. Yuck. Gross. Almost too hard to type that! When my first kiddo was a baby we had a Nosefrida. That was the big brand available at the time, and that one absolutely worked well. I think it spawned the idea for other brands. We had no complaints or problems with that one, we just loaned it out before baby #2 was born. I did some research, and decided to try this brand this time. It was pretty much the same, though this one had a better storage system and the tubing seemed to stay together a little better during use. This one comes with a breathable storage bag, which is nice. The only thing grosser than a snot sucker is a moldy snot sucker. Ew!The parts are easily put together. The only other hard part is pinning the little one down to use this thing!! I would recommend using this first when your baby is too big to kick and throw too much of a fuss. If the kiddo is 2 the first time you try this, you might never get them to stay still enough!

Works like a champ!
I used this for the first time in the morning and I was able to suction out a big booger from my little ones nose! AND SHE SMILED AFTERWARDS! She hated when I used the bulb on her nose. The suction is great because it’s controlled by the parent. My daughter likes this so much better then the bulbs. This is easy to clean and great at sucking out the mucus. It does take a bit getting used to and nasal spray/drops help get all the mucus out. The package arrived with all pieces. It’s easy to wash and fast at drying. The small pouch comes in handy since I carry this aspirator everywhere with me. I use the newborn tip even though I have a 4 month old. The infant tip doesn’t even fit in my daughters nostril so I can’t suction anything out. Maybe I’ll use it as she gets older. But so far the newborn one works great!

Better than a snot bulb
Over all this was a good purchase. For some reason it tasted rubbery when I got it. I had to soak it in vinegar to help with the taste. It is easy to clean and works pretty well. It did take a while to clear my daughters nose. I don’t know if I was doing it right but it did seem to be difficult for me to get the right amount of suction to help her. My toddler hated it, but I was able to keep her still and use the aspirator. The most important reason for getting this instead of using a bulb was that my daughters nose started to bleed when I was using the bulb. This didn’t make her nose bleed at all. I never tasted her snot either. The worst part about this is, it can get you sick. You are after all breathing in your kids germs multiple times a day.Quick recap:Pros:easy cleaningDidn’t taste snotToddler nose didn’t bleed after useEasier to use than a bulbToddler hated it but not as much as a bulbCons:Tasted like rubber first use and had to soak it in vinegarToddler still hated itMakes you get whatever sickness your kid hasHard to get the suction rightStill takes a bit if time to clear the nose

Love it. Much better than other products.
Love these. I have a couple and have used now on all 3 kids. I use it pretty regularly and I have another competitor's product, and this one wins hands down. No need to buy filters makes it so nice, stuff with tissue and go. I have found that using just 2 squares of TP is the perfect amount as it gives good booger catching without causing an issue with suction. I also find it so satisfying to watch the boogers get pushed back out of the top when I clean after use, I'm not sure why. I did have the misfortune on a particular boogery night to have so much that it made it past the tissues, up the tube, and into my mouth before I realized it. Never made that mistake again.

A Must Have (no pressure haha)
I rarely give 5 star reviews, I save it for products that I really love and guys I REALLY love this product! I registered for the Frida like everyone else when I was pregnant but when i went to use it for the first time I was not impressed. Its really difficult to maneuver especially with a wiggly baby that doesn't feel good. I found this one day during some browsing on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I'M SO GLAD I DID! It's much smaller and easier to maneuver. Much gentler on babys nose. My son SCREAMED when I used the Frida but with this he doesn't mind it at all. I absolutely love that I just use a tissue for a filter and it really does work. I was doubtful thinking a tissue would but I think it does a better job! It's very easy to clean which come on any one with a kid knows time is precious and the simpler something is the better. I have recommended this to all the mom's I know and have converted several from the Friday! I HIGHLY recommend.

Weird but very effective
I was a little weirded out by the idea of physically sucking boogers out of my son's nose. It's gross, right? But those little suction bulbs are never strong enough to clear his nose out and they're too big to fit in an infant's nostril anyway. Most of the snot suckera I looked at (like the ones from the ridiculously overpriced Frida brand) all have little filters that you need to buy more of and replace frequently. With this one, you just stuff a tissue in there. I actually used half a cheap one-ply tissue so it wouldn't lessen the suction power and it works great. Been using it for weeks and haven't got a booger in my mouth yet! The only downside is if your kid has allergies, like my son does, you really gotta suck to get his nose clear and I get light headed sometimes when it's really bad. But it does work so well!
