Best for wound care!
My husband had a stroke last year and while he was in a coma, the hospital nurses did not turn him or take care of his skin. He developed 3 stage 4 pressure ulcers down to the bone of his sacrum and ischium. I had used this cream in the past while working in hospice and decided to try it on his wounds. I would put a small amount on the peri wound area and cover with a mepilex. This helped heal the wounds completely in a little over 6 months. Wounds like these sometimes take years to heal, if they ever heal. So 6 months was a miracle.I love this cream because it has an almost gritty texture. It keeps excess moisture out while also maintaining ideal wound environment. It is not over drying or abrasive. It is great to use as intended as a barrier cream also. I put it on any spots that are prone to breakdown, wet areas, bony prominences, high friction or high pressure areas, and natural folds in the skin. This cream prevents breakdown and maintains skin integrity. I can’t tell you how great this stuff is. Even with being on the more expensive side for barrier creams- it’s totally worth it and honestly, I would even pay more if I had to. This stuff is a life saver. The one downside of this cream that I can think of is that it can be a little difficult to remove. But I have found that saline wound wash or normal saline takes it off with ease. No scrubbing needed. If you have a loved one prone to skin break down or pressure ulcers or if you are trying to heal a wound- this stuff is definitely what you need to try. Thanks for a great product!

The best diaper rash cream
Sensi-Care Protective Barrier #3 is the same stuff that they used when my son was first born and had to spend a month in the NICU. Now I know why -- it's hands-down the best diaper rash cream we've ever used. Yes, it's expensive, and that's why my wife and I tried just about every other diaper rash cream on the market, and while some worked okay, the Sensi-Care is hands-down the best and any time my little boy gets diaper rash, this cream will knock it out overnight no problem. I will note that this cream is much thicker than just about everything else on the market, so it's a bit harder to apply and a bit harder to remove from your hands after you apply it -- but the fact it's so thick and sticky is probably why it works so well, so I'm not going to penalize it for that. It's the only diaper rash cream we've tried that sticks to my baby and doesn't rub right off into the diaper.

RN says this is the best butt cream out there
I have used ( or made, as did many ICU nurses) a variety of barrier creams to prevent incontinence skin burns and to diminish pressure sore breakdowns on the butt: tnis is the best ever.If you buy it, apply a nice, not too thick coat and it will prevent discharges from penetrating to the skin. When you clean, just wipe off the surface material and NOT all the cream down to the skin. The cteam hardens somewhat and forms a protective shell until any irritated or broken skin heals and pushes it off from underneath.Skin care nurse specialists are amazed that i have prevented butt skin breakdown on a bedbound patient for almost 2 years now.

I already knew this was a good purchase!
I was at a friend's house - a loaner for a bridal shower - and was having fits with my psoriasis. Fortunately the friend had babies so I found this cream in their bathroom and put it on my rash. Instant relief - saved the weekend! Thanks, Sensi-Care (It's not just for diaper rash!)

not as represented
Aloe Vesta Protective Ointment 3 is the standard for skin care. What I received was an expensive Neosporin substitute. Apparently Aloe Vesta Ointment is no longer available to the general public. I suggest going to your healthcare provider who can still get the Ointment.

continuing to hurt her poor bum, and it would not heal
I ordered this in 2014 when my 2 month old daughter had raw skin on her bottom. Other diaper creams including vaseline just came off when she wet her diaper, continuing to hurt her poor bum, and it would not heal. I needed a cream that acted as a barrier so thick it was like soft clay. This paste was GREAT. Within a day or two of applying it, the sores were almost completely gone. Best stuff. Buying this again now since my 2 week old son seems to be getting the same thing...

Nurses best bet for rashes
The media could not be loaded. Our baby was born premature and was in the hospital for about 50 days. In those 50 days I have learnt a lot from the nurses. Whenever our baby had rashes on his bums the first thing they does is they stop any other lotion/cream and start using this and when it’s time to change diaper they do not wipe it forcefully and they does this for 2-3 days and the rashes disappear.

A little grainy, but gets the job done
This stuff was given to my son in the Nicu, it’s how I found this brand. As a first time mom, I had already bought all the regular kinds. But once I’m his bottom is red, cracked, or raw this is what I’m using! I’m about two days his bum is all cleared. For really severe diaper rashes I would slather his bottom and then, as per the nurses orders, only wipe his bottom is there was poop. Other than that I would just leave that layer on. Whenever he would poop, I would have to clean it up and put it on his rash. Consider it like a barrier , is what the Nicu nurse told me.
