So far we used it for one day with only water and no problems. I’m afraid to try some of the other experiments on the cards like vinegar and oil in case tube toy stops working like posted in some other reviews. Make sure you let your child play somewhere you don’t mind getting wet. It makes a cool looking tornado. And is safe for the kids to operate with minimal help. It was a good buy for my 4-year-old. He liked it in a dark room with the lights on in the toy. So far as expected I hope that this toy lasts. Personally I think that it’s slightly overpriced for the toy itself like another reviewer mentioned. But it kept my child happy and busy so far no complaints.

My 4 year old is always wanting to play with this! I cannot keep enough supplies in the house to do some of the experiments that come with this learning tool. The STEM tornado is great for kids to do with very little help from an adult. It can get messy but it's mainly water so it's always easy clean up. As an adult, I really love this "toy" as well. This learning tool is great and I highly recommend it!

So far this has been a huge hit with our almost 4 year old. The tornado feature doesn't work as strong as suggested but she doesn't notice.

My children loved this toy. Makes super cool water vortex (“tornadoes”) and bubbles. They play with it for hours! Adding soap and other toys. This toy withstands quite a bit. The only thing that didn’t survive is the lever for speed... it got wet and stopped controlling the speed, which means the thing just runs and runs at full speed unless you turn it off. That didn’t bother my kids though. Plus it is completely safe. They put their hands in and it doesn’t hurt them at all. I am pleased with my purchase.

Best gift ever. I bought this thinking it would be entertaining for a few days but my toddlers LOVED the old one to death (which took about 16 months). I have bought this one as a replacement. The 2 yo gets to put tiny toys into a water tornado. My 4 yo likes to “do science” and make his own recipes. We make volcanos and lava lamps - it’s very cool & educational.

Horrible we have had this 5 days and it no longer works. Right out of the box we broke the measuring cup. Why is it bolted to the top of the lid! We went to pop it off and the bottom cracked. It was bought in conjunction to the wonder lab so it’s made for water activities but is not water proof! Then in cleaning it you need to remember to pump all the water out which I recommend doing with the lid on because it shoots out of the top. Sad that it is now trash.

Grandson loved this toy at first. The problem came when we moved to the experiments using oil. The toy is difficult to clean and cannot be separated from its base so the first time we cleaned it, it stopped working for a period of time. Thinking the battery compartment got a little moisture in it, we were extra careful cleaning it the second time we tried the oil experiment. Now the unit is dead, new batteries won't help and it sits in the dead toy pile. Poor design. Disappointed in Little Tikes.

My son received this for Christmas and hasn't stopped playing with it. I'll admit I was afraid of the water factor, but so far so good! He loves hitting the air button to disrupt the tornado and watch it build back up. Great simple toy! Good to buy along with the STEM Jr. Wonderlab!
