Case for Silky Bigboy (504-36)

Fit perfectly to my new saw, very useful to transport and keep safe the saw

bought this to hold my BigBoy saw. I use it on my motorcycle for dual sport riding and had hoped that it would be a secure way to attach to my bike that would be easier to get the saw quickly when I need to stop to cut deadfall out of the trail (saw is awesome BTW). However this case is not a snug fit. I guess it wasn't what I was thinking it was. For attaching to your belt and walking around, it would be fantastic but for mounting the case to my bike and riding thru the woods, the saw would be lost in minutes (there's nothing holding the saw in place except gravity). I will see if I can figure out a strap system to retain the saw, but for my purposes at least, this didn't match up.Very good quality holder, and for casual/walking use, it would rate a 5 star, but for my intent (locking/holding the saw more securely) I give it a four star. I'll go back and read the product details and see if maybe I just missed the fact that it doesn't hold the saw securely but is more of a pocket for the saw.

There is a lot to like about this case. It is sturdy but not heavy. The belt loop makes it easy to stash the saw rather than put it on the ground when I need to move cut branches or trees. In the case, the saw sits securely and is not at risk of falling out. The saw is easily removed with one hand. (I don’t have to hold the case still while pulling out the saw. I’ve got a couple large downed trees on the property that I’m having to cut up. Being able to quickly stow the saw and climb or haul cut branches is much safer because there is no risk of the saw opening and I have both hands to clamber over tree trunks and such. The little clip to separate the case from the belt loop is also helpful when I sit down to rest. I’ve been hanging the saw and case on a hook through the hole in the belt loop when I’m not using it. The weight of the saw in the case does not put any stress on that hole. This was a very useful addition to my silky saw. If I lost mine, I would buy another immediately.

I have no doubt in my mind that this sheath performs like it should. I actually watched a couple of unboxing videos of this product on YouTube, and it seems that this sheath works universally for all the four different Silky Big Boy Folding Pruning Saws. However, if one intends to use this sheath for the Big Boy 2000 model (like I do), due to the blade being curved, it will have some movement unlike the other models with the straight blades. So perhaps wrapping the Big Boy 2000 with a cloth prior to inserting it into the sheath, would help to avoid any sort of movement and/or inner damage.What I did not like about this particular purchase is that they sent me a used sheath. I have not yet even opened my saws, which I also bought here on Amazon, and my sheath is already full of scratches and cuts, particularly in its interior, and it really annoys me, since I paid for a new product, not a used one, therefore I'm going to ask for a discount. The bubble wrapping in which it came left me kind of wondering if it was really new or not.

I have it on my toolbelt and have had not issues. if you need to use two hands sometimes while using the saw, I recommend this

First I was disappointed that I was sent the wrong one. Had to submit a request to return then drive 30 minutes to the closest ups to return. Also had to pay $3 fee for the paperwork to return. That was a nightmare! However, the review is not on that, it's on the sleeve. My husband loved this and was so happy to have a safe keeping for his saw. I purchased both as an anniversary gift. No regrets.

I wish it had a belt clip as well as the provided belt loop. Additionally, I think it is fairly pricey for a small plastic product.

I shied away from purchasing a Silky saw right off the bat as I wasn't sure how much I would get to use the saw so I went for a Corona. Well, Corona doesn't exactly make a case for the saw I bought (or I just couldn't find it) so I picked this one up and I'm glad I did. If the case speaks for the quality of the Silky saws, I'll be purchasing one or even a few! If you have a Corona hand saw (10"?) it will fit perfectly in this case.I'll try to get some photos up ASAP.

ビッグボーイを一時使わない時の置き場には困らないです。

緩いというレビューを見てちょっとビビリながら注文してみたけどピッタリだったたぶん緩いと言ってる人は入れる向き逆なんじゃないかとビッグボーイの折り畳みのボタンついてる側を差し込むとビシッと入る逆向きだとたしかにガタガタする想像していたよりケースの横幅があるけど裸でリュックに突っ込んでたのに比べればずっとスマートでいい願わくばもう少し値段安いと嬉しい
