Replacement for my cat tree posts
I have 3 cats, and they just love marking their spot. But it tears up the sisal posts awful. I bought these for every post on the tree as a cover up. Problem fixed. These velcro strips hold on firm, and the matting does not shed. Worth the money.

Covers cat scratches well
Easy to put on. Covers well. Most of the apholstery screws work OK. A few have worked loose over a short time.

Cat went right for it
We were struggling with an anxiety ridden cat who was scratching way too much. After trying deterrent sprays, calm down treats, and so on we opted to try a scratch pad to at least let him scratch and get out some of the anxiety. It actually worked great and he gravitated right for the scratch! We have it on a back corner of the couch and we literally doesn't touch any other parts of the couch BUT the scratch pad. Granted, every cat is different, we are very pleased with our purchase and will reup once this one wears down. The only drawback is that our boy is quiet strong, so when he scratch he pulls the screws pins out too quickly. The velcro alone isn't strong enough to hold it on.

Loosely woven, don’t hold up well
I had to use screw in furniture thingys to attach these, the velcro was not enough.I’d been hoping for a tighter weave, this is ok for a furniture protector for where I don’t touch it, but wouldn’t hold up long if they used it daily.

A Bit Thin, But works Otherwise
Overall it works ok. I bought these to put over the worn posts on the cat tree. They worked great for one post, but kept sliding down on the other. I stapled it into place. So it’s doable. What I don’t like is how thin they are. Not sure how long they will last with my two using them every day. I will buy them again, though, since it is an easy quick fix to freshen up the tree.

Not all that helpful, really
These mats were about as described by others: cheaply made and my cats preferred to lay on them. That is, unless I put catnip on them. They are fairly flexible so if attaching to a fabric chair or sofa with the curly pins, they'd probably work ok. I'd hoped to use them to replace the torn up woven sisal on two cat towers but didn't bother. They have helped prevent my cats scratching directly on my nice LR rug. But the best and most durable item for that has been sisal door mats. The fiber holds up well to vigorous scratching and the bits and pieces are easily vacuumed up. I've gotten several of this kind of doormat here on Amazon and all 3 cats, only one of which was a horizontal scratcher demon, love them.

No more torn sofa legs
Now my cat just figured out he has to scratch on the back of the sofa! :) These are great at protecting the front of the sofa legs where my cat would scratch regularly. Only small complaint is that the screw pins could be a bit longer, especially if you double up any of the material to fold it into nice lines on the furniture.

Cat owner approved!
My vintage chair will be protected from my cute little scratchy monsters. They have Velcro that allows you to wrap it around legs of tables and chairs. I bought these because you can easily attach them to flat and curved surfaces. They are attached with these corkscrew pins that are amazing! I twisted them in n then twisted them out to see whether or not it left holes in the furniture and they did not! Because of the shape, they don’t rip out when my kitties scratch them. I plan on buying more for my other furniture. You really can’t beat the price.
