Jackson Wayne Leather Briefcase

I had bought my wife a Saddleback Thin briefcase and was considering buying one for myself. But, after doing some additional research I came across this Jackson Wayne Briefcase. Having done a considerable amount of research on leather and leathercraft before buying my wife's I could tell there was something different about Jackson Wayne. They use thicker leather than Saddleback, they actually disclose the source of their leathers, and it's all American Made. To top it all off Jackson Wayne is half the price. So, I took the plunge and bought it.The briefcase comes in a white cotton bag, similar to a light weight laundry bag. Inside the bag is the most beautiful briefcase I've ever seen. The leather is stiff as hell and heavy. In an envelope in the bag is a handwritten thank you card with explaination of what you can expect and how to care for the leather.Amazing briefcase. Highly recommend it for anyone whose looking for a serious briefcase that will last them a life time. Outstanding work by the ladies and gentlemen of Jackson Wayne.

We have never reviewed any product on Amazon. This product is exceptional enough to warrant our first review. This bag just arrived in the mail today, and I couldn't be more pleased. I wanted to replace my old bag with something I could have for the rest of my career as a college professor. I am tired of buying products that aren't made to last. The leather smells wonderful, and the bag already has a distinct character. It seems durable, it fits my 15" Chromebook, and a few heavy books. Also, I have to confess that I like that it has an Indiana Jones quality to it, which makes sense given the era this company is channeling. It's also nice to know the money spent on this bag is supporting a small company and a US leather manufacturer/supplier.

This briefcase is the real deal, with super high quality, durability, and elegant simplicity. Although pricier than some, I found out the hard way that you get what you pay for... last year I purchased a competitor's briefcase that I thought was going to be high quality and durable given its almost $200 price tag, but after just a few months zippers became fouled and the cloth lining started to rip. The Jackson Wayne takes no such shortcuts, and I couldn't be happier with its quality, looks, utility, and durability. My laptop fits perfectly into the built-in sleeve, and while there is plenty of room for papers and storage, it's not overdone with little side pockets and pouches everywhere. I know it's cliche, but this truly is a briefcase to last a lifetime.

This briefcase is extremely durable and roomy. It's simplicity makes it functional and practical. The leather is very thick and has multiple layers displaying its authenticity and longevity. The color of the leather as well as the brass fittings are rich and classic looking. The patina of the leather shows an almost marbled texture that is very pleasant to the eyes. The interior divider of the briefcase is equally thick and is sewn in with equal attentiveness to detail and durability as the rest of the briefcase. The founder of the company included a hand written Thank You card with the order. This briefcase has an "old world" craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the seller has a "corner store" reminiscence that one seldom finds in this modern day and age.

I received my briefcase yesterday and was stunned by the quality of the bag and care in shipping. It is perfect for me - perfect size, weight and look. I spent a lot of time, too much time, considering competitive quality bags. Some were just too heavy and bulky, some were too expensive, some too feminine. This JW bag has unbeatable quality, with fantastic customer service, a reasonable price and will look good in the board room or on safai - unlike some of the competitve bags that only Bear Grylls could love. Hat's off Jackson Wayne. Except for the preceding words - I am speechless!
