Kuroshitsuji Black Butler ~ Yana Toboso Illustration Artworks 1 (Art Book) [JAPANESE EDITION JE]

I really like it, came perfectly

My sister had me order this for her. She is a huge Black Butler fan but does not have an Amazon account of her own. However, she was very thankful and thoroughly pleased with the product. I can only review the ordering process. As is the case with everything else I've ordered through Amazon; it arrived in a timely fashion and in good condition. So, job well done by everyone down the line.

Initially I was worried because the text in in Japanese and there will be an English version released in October of 2015. However, this being an art book, I didn't run into any issues. There is only one section that contains Japanese text in the back and it is a listing of what I assume is every illustration's origin (publishing date, which magazine it appeared in, perhaps the mediums used). Simply put, you won't be missing out if you buy a Japanese art book over an English one.What I really liked about this book is that I feel that it came with a lot more content than other art books I own. It is the thickest art book in my collection. You will not feel like you have spent money on just a few illustrations. I was able to sit down and admire them for quite sometime before finishing it.There is no character reference sheets in this (I'm guessing that those are in the TV animation guide art book).

These are beautiful art books. There are two made and I highly reccomend both. They're good quality, though there is no words written in them the book is just full of Yanas Art and the book measures at about 26cm and 10 1/3 inches. The art in this is from the manga. First volume of this is art from the beginning to the end of the circus arch. No art from the rest of the manga, the second one has the art to the titanic art and the anime.Side note I found it slighting odd at the different kind of art at the very back from other shows and such.

Great quality

I received the package in a timely manner. The seller packaged the art book, uniquely. It arrived in one piece. I meant to write the seller a thank you letter for the cute paper rose and candies she gave me, but haven't gotten around to it. Yana Toboso is an incredibly talented mangaka and artist (I differentiate because she also occasionally draws fan art).This book is beautiful, great quality, and well worth the money!

Yana Toboso's artwork is absolutely beautiful! It's full of her past work and a few illustrations exclusive to this book. The cover and pages are very high quality, and it even comes with ribbon ties to keep it closed. I highly recommend getting this and the second art book as well.

All the pretty pictures! I'd buy it just for the image of Doll and Ciel with the whale from chapter 36 of the circus arc. It also comes with art from Rust Blasters, drawings probably from her blog, and of course it includes many of her cover arts, unobscured by giant block letters. And the cover is super cute!

Ich bin sprachlos.Es ist ein wunderschönes Artbook. Alleine die Aufmachung ist der Hammer.Ich fang mal an: Es handelt sich um eine Hardcoverausgabe, mit Silberverzierungen auf der Vorder- und Rückseite. An der Seite sind noch zwei Seidenbänder angebracht, mit denen man das Buch verschließen kann.Insgesamt hat es 156 Seiten. Man bekommt also für sein Geld was geboten.Auch Innen ist es einfach toll und aufwendig gestaltet. Fast alle Illustrationen sind in Farbe. Es gibt neben den ganzseitigen Bildern auch Bilder im Kleinformat, z.B. in Bilderrahmen, die Charaktere in Chibi-Format und Seiten aus den Mangas.Insgesamt hat das Artbook drei Kapitel. Am Anfang von jedem Kapitel befindet sich eine Aussparung in der Seite, die mit einem durchsichtigen Papier unterlegt ist, sodass man dadurch das Bild danach sehen kann. Die meisten Bilder sind von Black Butler, dann noch ein paar von verschiedenen Serien und am Schluss noch vom Manga RustBlaster.Am Ende kommen nochmals alle Bilder in Kleinformat mit Infos und Kommentaren. Diese sind, da es sich beim Artbook um einen Import handelt, natürlich auf Japanisch. Aber da es nur fünf Seiten sind, kann man das, glaube ich, verschmerzen.Abschließend kann man sagen, dass es einfach ein wunderschönes Artbook ist. Klar, es ist ein Import und daher recht teuer, aber es lohnt sich wirklich. Das Buch sieht einfach nur toll aus. Und bei Importen muss man mit Preisen um die 50,- aufwärts rechnen.Aber ich bereue nichts^^
