If you are applying stencil parallel to a surface it will work as expected. For a differently curved surface like a bowl this will be wildly problematic.+ Great for flat surfaces like a piece of wood (for an ornamemt)+ Good for cylindrical surfaces like a bottle- not as forgiving as silicone- sucks ink across its surface marring target surface* perhaps best with pencil?

I love using these to start my paintings. I wish there were more variety sets and symbol types available because I'd probably buy them all without question at these quantities/prices!! (35 for $7.99)Only a few cons:-Because the stencils are a little bit larger than 5'' it can be time consuming and tricky to place perfect on my 5x5 canvas.-A stencil pouch would be a nice addition.-There are many duplicates with another set available through amazon.

29 designs, not a bad deal. The size is adequate but not for stenciling floor to ceiling whole wall (too much). The material is thin, probably breaks after repeated cleaning. The designs are nice, I like some but not some others. I believe paint brushing will bleed color on the paper/surface. My experience of such templates is to use sponge or rag. Pencil/pen tracing is also a viable way if coloring is what you get these for.

Only thing I didn't understand was how to use them. I'm a novice at rock painting and there were no instructions.

These stencils are great for canvases or other flat supports. They don't work so well on rounded surfaces such as rocks. But it's all good because they help you make beautiful mandala designs on flat surfaces. They are definitely a game changer.

Fun for the whole family. I use these to decorate packages, and my 5 year old loves to play with them too! He’s not great at drawing yet so he loves that stencils turn out perfectly every time and he’s so proud!

Several selections....I'm using these patterns for rock painting. Wow! I love them. Will last forever.

I have some stencils that came with the mandala painting tools but they were only one pattern. This has every pattern I wanted and some I didn't know I wanted.
