PANTHER MARINE KPP802B King Pin Anchor Pole - 2 Piece, 8' - Black

The anchor pole works great and holds the boat unless very windy or strong currents. The foam grip continues to s slip towards the end of the pole. While trying to pull the pole out of the mud the end grip pulled right off and fell into the water so I lost it. It happened partially several times before it completely slipped off the end. Overall a sturdy great product but Panther needs to attach the foam and plastic grip better.

What a great idea, this shallow water anchor. I have seen them used and I want to use this anchor for my Florida bass fishing. I have a Talon on the back of my boat, but adding another for boat control was way too expensive. Now I can "Talon Down" at the stern of my boat and control the bow with the Marine Tech shallow water anchor. The 8 footer should work great in Florida's waters, but I may need a longer one for fishing less shallow water elsewhere. I'll try it first without the bow bracket, but may need it to stabilize the anchor in current.

It does what it needs to do, but when you screw the two pieces together, it is off by like 2 degrees resulting in a bent looking rod.

Excellent product! I use this as an anchor for my jet ski. It is so much easier using this pole than a regular anchor! I’d rate it a 10 if I could!

I specifically bought this pole because you can break this unit down into two pieces. Unfortunately, it does have its flaws. Cons: the foam handle and rubber cap came off the first day. The rope slid off the top taking the foam handle and cap with it. Lost in the bay. It needs a T grip at the top. This will assist with keeping the rope from sliding off the top of pole and give leverage when inserting pole into lake or bay floor. Without some sort of handle at the top it’s very difficult to place and remove pole. If you plan on buying an anchor pole buy one with a handle at the top.

Slick and fast. Holds boat even in moderate breeze. Works best of course in a soft bottom.
