Master Lock 1500iD 4 Pack 2-1/8in. Wide Speed Dial Directional Combination Padlock

I bought 8 of these locks (2 four-packs) for a break-out box activity with teachers. Because of several poor reviews, I really debated whether to try them or not--but they looked like a fun option. I watched the YouTube video twice before opening the package, then got out the instructions, read them, and opened and re-set the first lock, following the video and the written instructions together. It worked beautifully! Since then, I've set the other 7 locks, as well--each opened, allowed me to re-set the directions, and re-opened without a problem. There are a couple of things to keep in mind: 1) You must push down on the shackle twice before entering the code, or it won't open. 2) Leave the lock OPENED as you re-set the directions, then push down the reset lever and then close the lock. Again, you'll have to push down twice before entering the new directions. We haven't done our activity yet, so I can't speak to how well they'll last--but I could open and re-set 8 out of 8 locks, so I'm happy so far!

I purchased the 4-pack of Master Lock Speed Dial directional locks. Each comes with a preset code that is inside the package, and you need a knife to open the package. Three of the four locks opened with the preset code, and were easy to re-code by following the instructions insert. The fourth lock wouldn't open, so I contacted Busiapp, and they promptly agreed to send me another lock. The three are working great. They function smoothly, and it's easy to press in the shackle (twice) to reset if you make a mistake while entering your code.Don't lose your code, though! Not sure how you'd be able to open it if you misplace or forget it.

This is the perfect lock for the students I work with. Students can create the password that works best for them!

I’ve used a Master Speed Dial lock for years. Love it. My wife lost hers recently (loses stuff) and I figured buying four would last her for years. The quality control at Master Lock Company is disappointing: of the four locks in my order three are not functional. I set them all with the same code, and only one, the blue one, works consistently. The black one never unlocks, even though I've tried many permutations of the code. The red one unlocks every few tries(!), and the purple one unlocks, as near as I can see, when a prime number is generated by some unknown celestial random number generating algorithm. Needless to say, I will NOT be offering this assortment of malfunctioning locks to my spouse.Know that I have considerable experience with these locks. Three of these 4 locks are faulty, only the blue one works as advertised

These things are bomb. They are legit. They Rock. I love them. Just bought a second package of four. Easy to program. I love the muscle memory. No need to memorize any kind of number. Super super easy to program.

I thought I'd give these locks a try and everything was fine until I went down a dirt road with my toy hauler. I went to unlock the trailer and could not get them to unlock. I ended up having to pound them off of the toy hauler doing some damage to my toy hauler in the process. A couple weeks later I had them on my enclosed trailer and also went down a dirt road and want to unload the ATVs and the same thing happened. These work great until you take them down a dirt road.

These are a cool little padlock for general use, fast to open without even having to look at it. Only downside is the clasp is very short

We own an escape room and have a directional lock in one of our rooms. They’re fun if you know how to use and reset. They’ve never disappointed us and are fun to watch people use successfully.
