Venetian 10' x 10' Vinyl Pergola

This pergola was relatively easy to assemble. It's solid once together. All hardware is stainless steel and the stiffeners used in the cross members are aluminum. This pergola should last for 20 - 30 years. I was shopping around for a pergola this size to go over our hot tub. Amazon had the best price. Delivery was fast enough for being free. No complaints at all. Great buying experience.

I just installed my Pergola and so far a like everything about it. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but being all vinyl and constructed with stainless steel screws, this Pergola should last a long time.+ Delivered on schedule. Well packaged and no missing or damaged parts. I appreciate the inclusion of extra quantities of screws. I've had my share of dropped and lost screws. Since I don't keep stainless steel screws in my inventory, I avoided an extra trip to the hardware store for replacements.+ I installed the Pergola in about 8 hours over a two day period. It was mostly a one-man job. I had about one hour of help from my son installing the major cross members to the posts. Probably half the time was spent measuring, spacing out, and leveling the inner 4x4 posts. Pay close attention to the spacing dimensions of the posts. With the posts set, it went up very easily.+/- I purchased the bolt down bracket kit that worked well for my installation since it is installed on an elevated deck. Because the corner posts are not cemented in place, my installation lacks some of the rigidity you get with cemented posts. But it's very secure and not going anywhere.- I just wish New England Arbors had a shade canopy designed for this specific Pergola. I ordered one from another supplier that I think will work well with this unit.

When I purchased this item a few years ago, it came NOT as pictured with but with a "polyvinal tarp"for a "roof". When I made (then New England Arbors) aware of it, they sent out the open "ribs" for the roof; they did not want me to return the "tarp" roof. So I elected to use the tarp a couple of years until it became unusable...so the other day, I went to install the ribbed roof (consisting of (2) approx 5' section of 1 1/4" stock plastic; a joiner, and 2 tapered end caps....to make one long rib. Here's what Vita wants to chage me: $72.55, $35.00 is shipping & handling from Canada. These components cannot cost more that $8.00 to make and total weight is likely under 7 lbs for a 10" rib section...

This is a beautiful and great quality product. Most of the work was in placing/digging/cementing the posts, and building the deck floor on which the pergola sat. With that done, this went together pretty easily. It looks great. One reviewer said make sure you have a good screw gun. Ditto!!! Lots and lots of screws. But worth it; this thing should last a long time! We also purchased the extra slats Shade Kit and the matching 10" flower box. Finished product is fantastic.

This pergola was very flimsy when we got it assembled. Had to take it back down. The top slats are so far apart they would provide very little shade.

I was excited to start assembling my Venetian Pergola only to find that the main posts are covered in scuff marks in the box. . It appears as though aluminum shavings from the bars in the box were rubbing on the outside of the vinyl posts.Update: New England Arbors were extremely easy to deal with and shipped me new posts free of charge which arrives 2 days later... so despite the slight delay this caused in assembly, I love my Pergola and so do all my guests. I have the Deluxe Venetian with Shade Kit and Canvas weave for extra sun protection. The quality seems great. I sunk posts in concrete.[...][...]

Directions are easy to understand. Fairly sturdy. Looks great when finished!
