I was at the hardware store looking for the perfect sized washer or metal disc to put inside the lid of the popsocket so it would magnetically stick to my magnetic car mount.I couldn't find the perfect size anywhere and then a few days later I found these metal plates on Amazon!!WHAT!!??I almost invented this thing, not really, but I can't believe someone already created this. It works AMAZINGLY well. It fits perfectly inside the top cap of the popsocket and then the popsocket Sticks to the mount.It won't come off unless you take it off, even on bumpy roads. I found this to absolutely be as strong as I hoped it would be, magnetically.It's very easy to install.1) Use something small like a paperclip or, in my case, the small tip of a flat head screwdriver, and gently pop the 4 tabs out of the little holes (see photos)2) Remove adhesive backing and stick the plate inside the lid of the popsocket.3) Put 4 tabs back into the little holes and enjoy magnetic freedom!!Love it so much!! If you have a popsocket, BUY this, then buy a magnetic mount for your car or anywhere else!!

This comes with ones to install inside the pop socket (smaller diameter) or ones to install on top of the pop socket. I wanted to install the metal inside my pop socket, but I couldn't get the thing to open up. So I just used the bigger one and installed it on top. It's only been a few days, but it works just fine. Nice and thin so I don't notice any difference.

Th adhesive has held up great! Seems very sturdy. Great value for the price. Ver versatile, performs as described, holds the weight of the phone.

Years ago, I purchased a magnetic pop socket that attached to a magnetic foam amount that I found. It all worked perfectly together until the pop socket broke since then, I have not been able to find another magnetic attachment for the back of my phone to work with my car mount that was strong enough… UNTIL THESE! I don’t have to use a pop socket and can attach the metal plate to the back of my phone case, which I prefer. The magnet is super strong, but easy enough to take off the mount or rotate. Versatile, strong and exactly what I’ve been looking for!

So I was looking for something that would work with my pop socket and my magnetic phone holder in my car. I love having a see through phone case and didn't want to have to attach a full metal plate to it so I could use my phone holder in my car. Just popped the top off and only needed to put 1 plate in. It holds better than all the metal plates we have used in the past. I don't have to pop my case off every time I want to use it in my car. Doesn't add any weight and hold it perfect on my holder. Great idea and great product. Would buy again but it came with plenty for all my pop sockets so I never have to worry about it again!!!! Get these. You will not be disappointed!

I sent these back. The magnet wasn’t strong enough to hold. It had a slight magnetic pull but slid right off of my magnetic phone mount. It needed to be significantly stronger. This was the internal one. I never tried the external one and I have no idea what the clear things were even for.

My preference for a Popsocket as a phone grip had always prevented me from using a large number of car phone holders due to the depth of the Popsocket. One day I bemoaned, "I wish I could use a magnetic phone mount, but the popsocket is made of plastic. If only there were metal popsockets." Which led me down a rabbit hole of finding this product. I am here to tell you, my phone is now able to be grabbed by magnetic car mounts.The one downside, and I did not take off a star because it isn't this product's fault, is that my popsocket disc is so thick that the interior adhering metal plate has too weak of a grip for the car mount's magnet. There's simply too much material in between. However, I put an exterior disc on and the problem was solved. So tread carefully here, all ye who want to use the interior discs. Make sure your popsocket plastic is thin enough for your magnetic mount to adhere to by testing with a small washer or other magnetic metal and a piece of tape. If it will hold there, it will hold here. And these are much better fits than washers and tape.

It didn’t work for my iPhone, I placed inside the pop socket because that’s the reason I bough this for and this metal plates are useless for any magnet, they’re so thin that once is inside the top of socket it don’t make no connection with magnet. I also tried to put in the back of my phone and didn’t use with magnet after two days so it can completely attach to back if cell but once I started driving the cell phone fell because the metal was too flimsy for my magnet holder.The adhesive in back of metal circle is so weak.

Love them works great. I have a custom desgin pop socket i did off their webpage. So happy I can use it now with my magnetic vent holder.
